Well this isn’t what I did today more like what I have done over the past 45 days lol.
I’m gonna list it all.
Bought a 2007 Yukon Denali it was pretty clean and had almost zero rust just some surface spots.
6.2 awd 160184 miles
rear main seal. It was leaking pretty bad.
Did the oil pan gasket and pickup tube o ring as well.

It also had the torque converter shudder so I replaced the converter, pump seal, flush new filter and fluid. Also changed the transfer case fluid while I was there.
Put a trans tune in it.

New driver side exhaust manifold.
Manifold brackets installed.

New spark plugs and wires oil change and air filter. Cleaned the maf.

replaced vlom cover gaskets and orings.
New intake gaskets.
New updated ds valve cover.
Installed catch can.
Cleaned throttle body.
Did the piston soak tsb.

Replaced the rear auto level shocks and compressor.i got the whole kit from maxspeedingrods it looked like very good quality and was only 280 bucks we will see how long it lasts.

Replaced headlights and had to fix the ground pin in the turn signal connector.

Rear door electrical seal was leaking replaced it and added sealant.

Rear door switches.
New radio

The hvac module was so dim you could barely see it and the buttons were worn out so I pulled it all apart re soldered the resistors painted the buttons and ordered a sticker kit for the buttons looks brand new now.

Did the mod for the gauge cluster to light up all the time.

Ac had a leak evac fix leak and recharged ac.

Now I am only left with a small power steering leak and new tpms sensors.
It was definitely a lot to do but it rides nice now looks good and should last many more miles.
Has definitely been a chore but thanks to the help of members here I think I have been able to knock out everything. Knock on wood lol

Dang it. I had it switched up in my head. Looks like I might be getting a larger pulley. Idk. Doesn’t seem to be slipping at all. I could probably use a new tensioner assembly but not sure if that would help

doesn't look like a problem, I only replace mine when they start making noises, those bearings don't live forever.

Thinking about that yellow clip hurts my fingertips!

I believe that door panel clip & bracket (that always breaks) is only on the front doors.
If you have a proper clip removal tool, it's' definitely worth using it there.

Thinking about 3d printing a clip holder bracket as my replacement panels are missing them.
That said, I don't seem to notice the missing door panel clip..
I found out you can remove the nuts off the door handle and pull it away from the outside enough to get to the little bugger from outside instead of trying to get my fat hand inside the door and unlatchingb that clip. there’s just enough room to pull the door handle away from the truck. I taped off the paint first just in case.

added a little clear gorilla glue to the spots that I previously repaired with epoxy that had broke loose again. thankfully these haven't ever expanded in the last 9 years
have to let it set for 24 hours before I pop the cover back on.

that was because one of the original clips was broken, no idea where it went. the other 2 are clips I added and just used what I had on hand, with the speaker grill on it, out of sight out of mind.

How did you get the screen over the speaker off? Does it just pry off with thin plastic pry bars?

those 4 holes you see around the outside edge are clip holes, if you use a thin pocket knife you can go in the edge of the cover and very gently pry up on each side until it pops off.
I say very careful because if yours is like mine the plastic is brittle. They are the same type of clips used on the pillar covers or other plastic covers like around the mirror bolt access
***a plastic pry tool wont fit, you have to use something thinner the blade of a pocket knife works well

I'll never forgive GM for these crappy dashboards!

One of the major reasons I don't want a second GM vehicle..

See a Suburban 2500 forsale here, but thinking about all the crappy plastic bits kinda deflates me..

mine has like 6 cracks, but that hasn't changed pretty much since I bought it, there are 3 of them around that speaker, hence the glue.

I epoxied mine, just to have it crack again a year or so later.. .

I know those dash covers aren't bad, but a terrible rattle was driving me insane.. So I spent $1000 on a f'ing piece of plastic.. (See? INSANE)

(BUT the main rattle was actually my stereo adapter plug (for chime delete) touching inside of dash!!! I wrapped them in a bicycle inner tube now.. )
On the "bright" side, that $1000 got rid of visible cracks.. which is covered by a dash mat so it won't crack again to soon..

Bottom line: I never would have made all those bad decisions, if GM made a decent dash.. and door handles, which they already had for '07-'09..
GM should have gone bankrupt, instead of me going bankrupt!

Oh shh shh Tahoe, I still love you.. I'm not made at YOU.. just your creator..

That is my interest in the speaker grille. I too have a rattle that is driving me nuts. I'm going to try to remove the speaker grill and see if there's anything visible that makes that noise, as that is where it 'seems' to be coming from.

there is no bottom support under that speaker so that's probably why the dash's crack in the same spot (upper left corner)
I put some hard foam and whatever I could shove in there under it to support it last time I had it out, I don't remember what all I used but it doesn't bounce anymore.
I have been hearing a little tiny squeak in that area which is why I re-glued it, hopefully that's all it was.

I don’t remember which of you clowns mentioned that little plastic clip on the door handles. I swear it was the next day I pulled up on the outside handle on my right rear door and felt something pop off. The handle quit working from outside. It’s the door my dog uses to get in and out. Today it finally was nice outside so I opened it up and that damn thing had popped off the rod. I snapped it back on and am left wondering if my visiting the forum was the reason I knew how to fix it or the reason it popped off because that’s one helluva coincidence. So maybe quit this talk about cracking dashes for gods sake. :p :p:p

It was a PITA, but I put a mini zip tie around that clip to keep it from popping back open. I ordered a few new clips to have on standby next time I have to dive into one of these doors.
