Replaced coolant cap. Went to top off coolant after air worked out of the system after the heater hoses and connector replacement and the top of the old cap separated from the bottom. I think the o ring was hard. I was able to twist and pry it out with curved needle nose pliers.

That happened to me in West Yellowstone a couple of years ago. Luckily there was a Napa in town and of course they had a replacement. Thank god I wasn’t driving a Kia.

All loaded up for our camping trip to Lake George, Lake Champlain and the coast of Maine. Leaving in the morning. The 2012 is ready as ever to do towing duty.

I’ll check that out.

Does anyone know if a faulty BCM could affect driveability?

I changed the plugs in the Yukon today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Even #8 was manageable without pulling the fender liner and other shenanigans. I used a 1" extension on the plug socket which gave me room to clear the exhaust manifold on one side and the firewall heat shield on the other.

Gimme a honk (or the finger.. it’s a NY thing) as you pass through NY… I’m assuming you’ll be coming up 95 to NYS Thruway (I-87) up to Albany then the Northway to Lake George. I gotta get up there again, it’s been a year or two since we’ve gone up. My parents used to bring us up all the time as kids and I started bringing my kids up every year… travel sports for the kids have kinda put a damper on mini-vacations for us. Have a good trip and watch them NYS troopers especially up by Albany….that’s where they put all the rookie troopers to start so they learn how to write up speeders… ask me how I know….. lol

Did any of the metal connectors rip off of the old wires?

Did mine the other day, I had plugs, wires and 02 sensors to do so I killed a few birds with 1 stone and rotated tires too. While it was up on jackstands I just yanked the fender liners and did it all while sitting on my fat a s s and I didn’t have to lean over the fenders or play twister and cry about my back later on that night.

This video mentions a TSB for the ECM program update for 08-11..?

So this video and that TSB I looked up says 2008 and up. Mine is 2007. Does it still apply??

One thing I see I did wrong, according to that '08 and up TSB, was when I installed the TPS on the TB with the throttle plate in the idle position. The TSB says install it with the throttle plate in WOT.

Unless I'm not remembering correctly, didn't you say you pushed or otherwise moved the wire harness at the TB and the fault occurred?
Yes but only one time. This thing is bewitched. Could have been coincidence, could not.

Seems to only say 08-11

Maybe the throttle plate angle during assembly still applies. ?
