Ordered custom pushrods from Manton pushrods. Super helpful, bit more than ordering off the shelf... but when figure in the rods build pretty cheap. Getting much thicker rods for $240 in 3 different lengths... and they will are building so same volume of oil will get to rockers as with stock lifters :) I asked they use a smaller oil hole for that reason and they said that is what they recommend for my build for that very reason.

Question, where can I get a differend oil spout on valve cover? And how does old one unscrew from valve cover?f343324a03ba0ddb005c5bd5a5b7eb3f.jpg5036514d052902c86da0c6d628be7a4a.jpg

I don’t weld but if I did it would look like that. Can you tap the old one?
hahaha, I am second guessing having bought that welder. @Jimmyy interestingly no need to tap it. It's the same threads as the Bosch wideband O2 sensor I bought. I wanted to make a perinate hole though so I could run everything at once.

May have to borrow or buy another cut off wheel so I can clean it up :/ Long story but it is in Mexico. I left in a hurry then they closed the border :(

I was reading about testing leaks... In the least I will tape all the ports on the exhaust then blow air in with my shop vac and spray soap around the weld to see if it bubbles. With luck it sealed.

Pushrods came in. Was stupid fast delivery. Were more expensive than off the shelf. But damn, they are sexy.

I think these will hold up to about anything too. Guy said 500hp but They are WAY better construction than anything I have seen. Which is honestly like 3 sets in person and about 500 sets shopping online haha

They make them so strong he said he'd seen their pushrods crack camshafts in some of their racing applications where they run 100 plus lbs of boost [emoji43]

Wish me luck. Bought a new angle grinder. Spent FOREVER trying to grind those welds off. Then pressure tested it... no bueno. Leaked like a cive. I then tried to spot weld leaing areas... Didn't even remotely work.

Last resort, exhaust JB weld. Mechanic I talked to said it works well, even on exhaust manifolds... so wish me luck.

Released a 6.0 LS back to its natural habitat today.. Took about 3 hours. Give one for fiddling with lift. Was pretty easy...

Trick was having that harbor freight siccsor jack for transmission. Make adjusting dowel pins and aligning transmission a cinch.

I would recommend getting valley cover plate to lift with.. was real nervous using accesory bolt holes on heads.

Also having took front bumper and core support off made a HUGE difference.

I put front bumper on as was tired of tripping over it but should have left it off.
