This is why i ditched mine. What a jokeGM’s famous secondary safety latch that likes to rust up.
Actually had to cut mine out of my last truck. [emoji2361]This is why i ditched mine. What a joke
I had to cut the boot and contort my wrist in an odd way to manually actuate the secondary latch, and then crank it down and get this crazy sticky grease off my hands to get mine down. Then I promptly took out all the bolts holding the winch in, and set the whole assembly up on a shelf. Eventually, it will go to the dump.Actually had to cut mine out of my last truck. [emoji2361]

I need to get an Esky wing. I'm running the Eagle Eye fully lit CHMSL, but its wing has warped, and the rubber flap won't stay put. Can anyone confirm that the light itself is a direct fit into an OEM Esky wing?Got a pretty good deal on everything with harnesses. Yeah just need paint on that 3rd.
it is a direct fit, when I bought the eagle eyes I already had a oem painted to match housing and just needed the lamp, so I swapped the light it fit perfect,I need to get an Esky wing. Thank you. I've had my eye on a couple on eBay for a while. Bonus, it'll come color matched instead of black.it is a direct fit, when I bought the eagle eyes I already had a oem painted to match housing and just needed the lamp, so I swapped the light it fit perfect,

I carry a few cans of fix a flat--just in case.So did I. I used a cut off wheel to cut the metal part in the hub hole. I'll be getting a replacement winch for it this year I hope. I hate running around without a spare. I know my luck will run out if I do.

Yup. I had no issues with the OEM one. The Eagle Eye one started working out of its groove in less than a week. I tried to glue it in at the ends because that's where it would first try to pop out. But I couldn't get it to stay. I removed the flap from my OEM wing and installed it into the EE one. But it wouldn't stay, either. So I've been running without ever since. The only consequence that I can see is that more dirt washes into the space between the hatch sheet metal and the weather seal. It doesn't leak, or seem to allow any more road or wind noise in. Still, I'd rather have the flap than not. The one I ordered comes with a flap. Hopefully it's in good shape, so I don't have to touch it.That rubber flap is the worst!

So, I’m not sure what’s going on with my transmission. It seems to “grab and let go” repeatedly; almost like surging. This happens at low speed (5mph) and light throttle and when the trans is cold or been sitting for a while.
I’m at 138k miles. Only maintenance done to the trans was a full fluid replacement and filter change. It was not “backflushed”.
What joys await me?

There'd be a code for that?Hopefully it just needs a TCC solenoid, pretty common fix
