Makin me nervous with that diff so close to the paint. Better not fall over or I’m gonna have a talk with you.

Not my truck so I don't care:shrug:

Just kidding, although I'm really sick of it taking up half my garage. The motor was supposed to be done months ago and the shop is still dicking around with the 408 for that Denali and the 370 for my Silverado. They were supposed to knock the 408 out quick and not rush on my 370 but not I think my motor is further along which is useless because I don't even want to pick it up until I have this thing out and have space again.

After much consideration I found a cam for this truck and it came in today with my name etched on it. :chewie:

Its specced for the blower in mind and should pull nicely to a little over 6k.

Also the rear end is getting some progress finally, the last bracket for the ladder bar should be in this week then truss design time. Yes those are my old bedsheets stuffed in the diff housing.

What about the Monte?? Info pls:)

I noticed that too! X2 Dan!!

I don't know much about it that's not my shop unfortunately. I do know its tubbed for a fat tire and does some illegal street racing down in the hood. I want to say it's a big CI SBC with a couple of kits of NOS but I really don't remember it's been there for a few months and there's always someone messing with it when I stop by. The body is super clean and he's running some Jegs brand knock off Weld looking wheels that are dirt cheap and look fantastic! https://www.jegs.com/c/Street-Wheels_JEGS/203213/10002/-1

If I ever get a drag pack for something it will probably be a set of those knock offs I was convinced they were welds or race stars.

I have ‘ a thing’ for gbodies.... Tony too...;)

Its really hard to find a clean one anymore, I'd bet this one is a full frame off resto and possibly a partial tube chassis.

Ba

I had an 85 and 88 SS back in the day :D. They def don't hold up well to salt tho :(

No they didn't, even down here you don't see them very often. I like the 82-83 Malibu 4 doors (said no one ever). But seriously a faded and mildly beat up baby blue or brown 4door Malibu with an LS swap and a little Wuhan war whistle peaking out the hood would be a sweet sleeper. They are so often neglected and clapped out people would probably think the war whistle would be something broken sticking through the hood.

My uncle bought one brand new in 84. I thought it was the coolest car. I've always liked the old 2 door Malibus, but I think I'd take a 4 door. And being they're also G bodies, there's tons of suspension parts out there for them too.

Now that my buddies denali is out of my long term project spot in my garage this is getting some love again. Decided to pull the bed to make the axle swap easier and I once again fell victim to Randyitus. Figure why not clean up the frame some, then let's remove the bumper and hitch to get ideas on a high clearance setup, and probably going to turn into boxing a few sections of the frame rails and who knows what else.

Anyway spent a few hours cutting the old exhaust hangers off and wire wheeling what I could get to. Oh even replaced the worthless rattle trap sliding rear window.

On top of all that I decided I hated the giant air dam on my car hauler so I chopped that thing down and added some chain keepers to the ramps to take the load off the clips.

Took the Bilstein 5100s off that had been on for almost 5 years. To my surprise they still have pressure and with a bath will probably look new. I never liked them and found them much too still for a light truck. It's probably because Bilstein uses the same part number for a 1500 or 3500 series truck so the valving is all wrong. Anyway, if someone wants them they are free to a good home.
