Just bought a 21 High country and experiencing the first gremlin. Getting a popup on the dash and the airbag light goes on. Popup says "Service Safety Restraint System". It lets me dismiss it and both the popup and light go away. Seems to come back after a period of driving and or the next time that I am in the car after about 5-10 minutes.

I will snap a picture of the popup.

Might want to get a scanner to see what the code is that’s triggering the warning and light. That will help track down the cause.

What @wjburken said. Also, why is it not at the dealer for warranty work?

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

Dealer told me that they had to order a part and gave no info on the part or the ETA

Finally having this fixed tomorrow. I am told that the part is a Deadener which equals a piece of tape! More updates to follow as I will certainly try and find out which sensor or module needs the tape. I was also told that there is an internal bulletin about this.

For the record the issue has become pretty annoying where I get the message every few seconds on a short drive.

Just git back from the dealer... Document ID#5642786 "Installed Butyl tape to Inboard (Driver) Side Airbag connector."

Could be a TSB or recall coming on this.

So my dealer said it was an airbag issue that they have to order a new airbag. While waiting for the part the service alert has now gone away and the passive door and tailgate locks do not work. I think it appears to be more like a wiring issue to me.

Not real happy. Service airbag has come back. Now have also lost the sound and no sound on blinkers. Just over a thousand miles and all this going on. Not a happy camper
