it's like driving in 2 inches of water you know when you drive threw standing water it slows down a lot

there was so much weight collected at the front end the rear end was up 2-3 more inches then normal

I'm not sure I follow you on that last comment. When the KO2s were new and hit a large puddle on the side of the road, they cut through it like butter, no steering wheel jerk in up to 3-4 inches of water. Similarly, when we hit a torrential rain storm once, there was 2 inches of standing water on the road and the truck did not flinch hitting that at 80 mph and maintaining that speed until traffic forced us to slow down. Pretty amazing to me. I was thoroughly impressed with my BFG Radial T/As when the new tread pattern first came out in the early 1990s and these are similar but even better.

I have driven through lots of snow in my day. Deep snow even. Done it in RWD cars, FWD cars and 4WD/AWD vehicles. I have never experienced, to my knowledge, this phenomenon of my rear end lifting 2-3” because of the resistance from snow in front of my front tires. Can you please elaborate on what it is you’re talking about?

Also, I can understand that if you were driving at 35mph in your “snow event” that you would see a reduction of fuel economy, mainly due to only going 35 mph, but 50% seems a little drastic for what I would expect. How much snow did this “snow event” drop?
extra Weight collection on the front this was "wet snow" at lest 40pounds collected under the bumper

it has the nivomat shocks (ZW7)

Almost finished the LTZ dash swap in the Silverado. It all started with trying to install that damn Esky cluster lol.View attachment 237337
That is looking damn nice!

I played with HPTuners today. Got some burbles now! I have it set so that below 0.2 grams of cylinder airmass between 2,000 and 4,800 rpm, it will drop the timing to 8* before top dead center. It won’t do it on deceleration because it opens the throttle too much, but reving the engine in P or N, it will sound like this.

Nice burble, mine does that on decel if I downshift. Hey look at the dash now, it’s nearly complete.

Holy fork that matches REALLY well. I didn’t realize how close the silver trim was to the esky cluster. Almost makes me want to do the esky swap in addition to the silver trim. Main reason I won’t do the esky cluster is because it doesn’t have an oil pressure gauge. I know you can put the oil pressure on the DIC but that’s where I like the trans temp to be

Most of that trim I wrapped although I did decide to go ahead and buy the brushed pieces off EBay as they become available for reasonable prices.

looks like someone used Non Nivomat struts with the factory Nivomat springs(ZW7)

can you believe the max payload is 1700-1,830 lbs LOL surely with 1800pounds you would not even move due to the drag of the wheel wells

for some reason the rear has it's butt up on the air on my suv i'm sure this has something to do with the cold as it was lower in the summer..
on my tahoe (nivomat struts)

GM was super nice and they are giving them away at cost price :D

$61 for ZW7 struts
PREMIUM SMOOTH RIDE CHAS PKG(ZW7)

they will not work on the ZW7 for the regular height unless you get the factory (lowering kit)

Aftermarket spindles and struts in the front for a ~3" drop and coils from a Jeep Wrangler in the rear for a ~4" drop. Deleted Autoride and (for now) ALC. It did as expected with a 3/4 drop, fat tires and the weight of the cargo.

I've been letting it rub while I drive it how I want so I'll know where I need to modify for clearance.

I call BS that 40# of snow caused either the front to drop 2” or the rear to raise 2”. If that were the case, we’d be damn near flipping cars on their noses here in the Midwest with all the snow that gets built up on the front bumpers.
