Hauled 350 lbs. of play sand in it and tore up the fender liners some more.

Almost finished the LTZ dash swap in the Silverado. It all started with trying to install that damn Esky cluster lol.

Made seven 55 mile runs picking up furniture, freezers, dishes, etc. Lots of rain and little 4 wheelers crashing all over the place. Only had to tap the brakes once to slow down, the rest of the time it was just pushing the cruise control buttons to select the desired speed. Truck is rock solid in the rain. I think I can squeeze out one more run before refueling...

looks like someone used Non Nivomat struts with the factory Nivomat springs(ZW7)
can you believe the max payload is 1700-1,830 lbs LOL surely with 1800pounds you would not even move due to the drag of the wheel wells
for some reason the rear has it's butt up on the air on my suv i'm sure this has something to do with the cold as it was lower in the summer..
on my tahoe (nivomat struts)
GM was super nice and they are giving them away at cost price
$61 for ZW7 struts

they will not work on the ZW7 for the regular height unless you get the factory (lowering kit)

i saw a bunch of damaged cars we got a rare snow event yesterday
snow really hurts the mpg a lot... it dropped down to 14.5 yesterday normally on this same route i can 22 to 25mpg (depending on how many red lights i have to stop at)...
i was just going 35mph just in the extra friction of the snow (tires plowing it out of the way) you lose 50% of your mileage
last time when it rained I only lost 0.25 mpg.. not too bad that is only like 2% loss wipers were off (i use rain-x)

I had to make a landfill run today. I figured since it's Friday it wouldn't be too crowded. Wrong! I gave up on the paved public collection station when I saw the quarter-mile long line to get in. So I went to the main (unpaved) landfill and took my chances against the roofing nails, screws and other debris.
She handled the slippery "road" just fine. But she got filthy. Oh well. She needed a good wash anyway. So that happens tomorrow.

You know the type Mark, flashy little import sports car, overgrown lawn, faded house paint with 99" television and the latest phone and sneakers and bald tires. They hit that fresh rain with the oil still working its way to the gutters and slide all over the place. Their friends think they can slalom through traffic as normal at 85 mph and go right into the walls and usually take 1 or 2 with them.
My memory is fading on this a bit but one time Brent we were doing mileage tests and resetting the AVG MPG counter after each leg. Well, soon the clouds opened up and I remember going right into a storm, from dry to covered in water in an instant and the mileage dropped by 3 or 4. We came out of that cloud and reset only to go from dry to wet surface and lost around 2 mpg on that.
No snow yet but we're keeping an eye for it this season!
it's like driving in 2 inches of water you know when you drive threw standing water it slows down a lot
there was so much weight collected at the front end the rear end was up 2-3 more inches then normal

I will. And then, as surely as I live and breathe, it will rain.
I have driven through lots of snow in my day. Deep snow even. Done it in RWD cars, FWD cars and 4WD/AWD vehicles. I have never experienced, to my knowledge, this phenomenon of my rear end lifting 2-3” because of the resistance from snow in front of my front tires. Can you please elaborate on what it is you’re talking about?
Also, I can understand that if you were driving at 35mph in your “snow event” that you would see a reduction of fuel economy, mainly due to only going 35 mph, but 50% seems a little drastic for what I would expect. How much snow did this “snow event” drop?
