I was worried you had lost a lifter like I did. Pulled passenger valve cover and spun engine over by hand and noticed #4 intake wasnt moving

Agree. Those bolt seals are a PIA. I used dish soap on them to get em in and it was still a bear.
Not yet thank God. I was actually surprised how clean it looked in there for a 300K+ motor. I had planned on modifying the driver’s side VC PVC port but my magnet did not stick to the plate under there so that tells me it’s stainless or aluminum. I can weld the latter but I’d have to do it at work on their mig. So that project will be for another day when I replace the ripped bolt seals. Grrrr..I was worried you had lost a lifter like I did. Energy Suspension makes poly ones with zerk fittings to grease them with. I don’t know of any Delrin ones.@Rocket Man Do you know of anybody that makes Delrin sway bar bushings for the GMT900 platform?
The new fill tube won’t accept the old cap so that’s being held in with ******* electrical tape for the time being.
Has anybody else had this issue?? This is the one I installed. There is no tab inside the neck for the thread on the old cap to engage. It's all smooth inside. And the old cap only fits down to the o-ring, and not past it. What other cap is out there that would just push fit in? maybe a different generation cap??? I am lost here and not happy. I guess worst case I can find an expansion plug to fit it. Like Caterpillar uses on their engines.

In looking at this, it says it doesn’t fit a 2009 Tahoe 5.3 or my 2013 Yukon 6.2. Did you by chance get the wrong part?
Strange.
Probably the corresponding Dorman one. https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...iller-cap-42315/11454153-P?searchTerm=Oil+capHas anybody else had this issue?? This is the one I installed. His is a 2007. But it shouldn’t matter. It says it fits a 2007. And 2008. But not 2009 for some reason. In looking at this, it says it doesn’t fit a 2009 Tahoe 5.3 or my 2013 Yukon 6.2. Did you by chance get the wrong part?
I think in 2009 they changed the oil fill tube style. The earlier ones had a short neck and a big curve, and the later ones had a taller neck, I think. 2009 is also when they moved the dipstick from back near the trans dipstick, to up closer to the front of the engine. His is a 2007. I do know the extra filler cap I bought for my ‘07 Denali fits on my ‘13 Denali as well as my ‘07 Silverado.

Odd.
Here are some pictures of my ‘13 with the extra cap I had for my ‘07 (don’t ask) and the one from my ‘13. Both fit in the fill tube. View attachment 232957
Don’t have a teenager at home?So after I put in the new battery, obviously the clock reset. Now I can't get the clock to put a time in. Anyone ever have this problem?
Maybe the Dorman one fits both tubes. The caps don’t need to screw in BTW. My Clean Side Separator just pushes on, the o-ring seals it up. But if I were you Id just but the OEM tube. That's exactly what my old one looks like. The o-ring won't fit in the tube and there is no tooth for that thread to catch onto.
