I would love to add similar LEDs to the grill kinda like the "Raptor style" grills like you see on 4Runners. Kinda like thisInstalled some convenience lights on the rear hatch: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/growing-up-doesnt-have-to-suck.93510/page-34

Gotta figure out a way to mount them. The same JB Weld I use after I cut off the intake tube resonators? My Jeep buddy that kinda prompted this has the same lights but in amber, which he ordered by accident. In the video he sent me, they still are plenty bright and would definitely work in a grille. At ~$10 for a pack of 6-10, why not?
Came home from being gone for 2 weeks. Battery was completely dead, couldn't even jump it. Wasnt even a year old.
Update (sorry no pics) for you all. That "coil whine" sound I've been having that I thought was either my head unit or Bose amp- I found out that the noise goes away when I turn the HVAC off! So I'm hopeful that its just worn bearings in the fan motor. I'm going to get a replacement blower from somewhere. I'd like to get an OEM one but will see. Depends on price I think. Hopefully it will go away once that's replaced.
Does it change pitch with fan speed and go away completely when you turn the fan off? You just mentioned turning the HVAC off but turning the fan itself off will narrow it down.Update (sorry no pics) for you all. Nah i’ve already disabled that thing. Bearings in that fan are destroied.Do you have Auto A/C? If so it could be the aspirator in the ceiling above the drivers seat.
It does go away when turned off, and doesn’t change pitch so much as it just makes a slightly different pattern of noises at different speedsDoes it change pitch with fan speed and go away completely when you turn the fan off? What do you mean you disabled the adpirator? It’s kinda important even if you don’t use auto.Nah i’ve already disabled that thing. Bearings in that fan are destroied.

Exactly the same. Ended up buying a new battery. That sucks dude.
You’re the second guy here that came home from vacation to a bum battery. @CHOO CHOO had the same thing happen to him recently.
I unclipped it from its mount and flung it away from the vent on the headliner so I can’t hear the rattling laptop fan that its got on itWhat do you mean you disabled the adpirator? It’s kinda important even if you don’t use auto.

I think maybe it samples air temp to fiddle with blend doors even in manual mode but I don’t know. What I do know is the heat works when its cold out and the cold works when its hot outHow so?
I thought it’s part of the interior temp sensing. How so?

It doesn’t need to sense the temp if its not in auto mode though.I thought it’s part of the interior temp sensing.
I mean, it IS the interior ambient temp sensor....the fan is there to pull air across the sensor. I’m not sure what the vehicle uses for interior temp when you remove that but I guess if yours still works, great. Probably not as accurate IMO. I am in the habit of fixing stuff not tearing it out.![]()
Don’t you set a temp? Or does yours not maintain a set temperature? That’s what it’s for. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in auto mode to need to know what the cabin temp is. I don’t have any vehicles without at least temp settings. IDK, I leave mine on auto and the only thing I do myself is change the blend setting. I never touch fan or temp. I guess I could leave it on full auto but I like just a little control. It doesn’t need to sense the temp if its not in auto mode though.
Not sure. I set a number but i mean I dont have a freezer thermometer sitting in the console to know what cabin temp is. I always figured ‘60’ was all the way in the blue on old style HVAC controls and ‘90’ was all the way in the red. The change in the sun going behind the clouds will effect how hot it feels in the cabin more than it will the outside air temp changing 3 degrees.Don’t you set a temp?
