Here is one of the new comps mounted. You have to look close to see the extend-a-bracket at the bottom. These are about half as loud as the Viairs, and my recovery time from being completely aired out with a full tank of air (7 gallons at 200 psi) to steering height (120 psi front/ 40 psi rear) back to a full tank of air went from 3 minutes 30 seconds to 2 minutes 40 seconds. Which means that by the time I get a block away there is enough air to recover from dropping the front after exiting a driveway/parking lot down to 80 psi back up to the 120 needed to turn a sharp corner. It's kind of a big deal. I mean, I never had trouble before but I always needed a couple blocks to recover for that.

Perhaps I'm not seeing things clearly but couldn't you have flipped the bracket on the one end 180° and avoided having to extend that bracket, or was that not a viable option???

Either way that's great news about the recovery times.

Nope. I tried that but not enough clearance between the comp and bracket for the spring mount.

After upgrading the headlights on The Beast, I decided to start looking (again) for new LED tail lights for this. I've embarked on this search several times, looking at forums, online at Amazon, EBay, etc and always came away disappointed in what I found. They all looked cheesy to me. I just want something clean, black (ish) when off and something cool and different when lit. I finally ran across these "AJP Distributors New Generation Replacement LED C-Streak Tail Lights For Chevy Silverado" and decided I really like them. They're kinda like the U-bar headlights I bought for the Denali. I saw a video of them installed and they look awesome IMO. Here's a few pics from Amazon. I'll update and review

when I get them.

I saw a lot of those with one big bar but only one type with the 2 separate bars like the ones I ordered. I figure on LED projector bulbs for backup lights. Plus my new cam works awesome at night.

I found this great tube bender on a FB group for bagged vehicles and since someday I plan on replacing the hardlines when I redo the air management I went ahead and bought it.

I got the new rear bumper pad installed today. This time around, I ignored the VIN when ordering it so I could get the one without rear park assist sensors so the 2 holes for them weren't there. The truck originally had them according to the RPO's. I used blue tape to mark where the clips are on the bottom side so I knew where to stick a plastic tool in and push on them until they snap down. I learned this trick the last time I installed these pieces. You can't just push down on them and hope they go in or you'll f them up. I also re-did the spare tire hoist cover, and although I experimented with deleting it altogether, that looked worse so I just remounted the thing with the new cover on. I also repainted the metal license plate trim and added black mounting screws and plastic push clips. Before and after pics.

Just a teaser. Not enough time to install them tonight since I need to run the harnesses but they will look great. These things are like black mirrors during the day. But now I need to find a matching 3rd brake light.

Installation complete on the tail lights. They came with new harnesses that run all the way to the rear wiring panel and load resistor packs. I didn't care for the wiring on the resistors so I desoldered them, added heat shrink, and reinforced the connections with extra solder. The sockets for the backup lights sucked at first until I tightened up the tabs inside them. then after all was done, the right marker wasn't working so I started troubleshooting, thinking it was the light or harness, but it was a fuse. I'll get some night shots soon. I think I like them. I ordered a 3rd brake light, kind of matches since it has a couple bars in it.
