They were OEM so warranty is up- vehicle is 7 years old.

Looking over the build codes this Denali was LOADED. 22 inch wheels, Bose, Nav, rear entertainment, rear buckets w/ heat.

Have the Service Suspension message- figure its the air compressor. How do i check for that?
A few things can trigger the service suspension system. I have had the circuit on a rear shock go bad but the shock itself was fine. At that time GM had proprietary control and no aftermarket was available. )Service Manager said to drive it until they came out with 3rd party parts and save $$$). I’ve had compressor crap out and not cause any code. I’d put a scanner and see what code it’s throwing.

Will an OBD Scanner do it or do I need a Tech2.

The Tech-2 can do it all Roger. Those little BT adapters and phone apps only let you see and clear codes and some let you see other engine functions.
The Tech-2 can see EVERYTHING and DO EVERYTHING. It can run diagnostic tests on your injectors, coils, transmission, AFM system, AC, etc. It can run graphs, take snapshots to view later on Tech-2 or on an old laptop, etc. See all the posts on this forum about the advantages of having one, it will pay for itself with regards to that suspension message before you're finished making it go away.

Oh yeah, I remember now. Innovative but not my cup of tea. We put a dash mat over ours and when it cracks up will replace with an original.
So what is the code for Magnetic Ride Control? Thanks

There is no Magnetic ride on 12' Denalis as far as I can tell.
Z 55 is Autoride.

a tech2 will tell you exactly what is causing the error, mine was a loose connector on a front shock, never would have guessed, felt like it was tight to until I pulled on it and it came right off, the little metal clip wasn't attached properly, I had had the front shocks replaced 2-3 months earlier so it took some time to decide to throw a code, the tech2 led me right to it, "front right sensor intermittent"

Which Tech 2 Unit should I buy? I also have a 2017 Camaro SS with Magnetic Ride.

The Tech-2 won't work on the Camaro. You might want to see what Wes puts together or get the MDI2/GDS2 software that will work for both but needs laptop or maybe tablet.
the tech2 won't work with the 2017, that requires a more modern scanner that run $1200 and up even for the clones and yearly subscriptions
otherwise there is only one tech2, or emulators that require a laptop or tablet or pc
as far as the gds2 portion of what james mentioned I haven't got that far yet, waiting on a tablet to arrive first.

So I think the air compressor is dead. Fairly common. Arnott shocks # 2708 are about $ 200 a piece rebuilt including a core of 50.
Where is the compressor so I can check it.
