Some where between middle earth and hell!
Mine been doing same thing for over three years now with low enough oil pressure at idle i unplugged the sending unit so i didn’t have to listen to the dam thing bing bing at me you damaged a lifter or spin a cam bearing when you was reving it up when it was cold for sure I did same thing always let your vehicle warm up on its own but don’t worry to much cause these motors are tough as nails and it will run a very long time on little and no oil pressure like I said mine done the exact same thing yours is after I revved it up to warm it up fast one cold morning that was over three years ago and I replaced every single thing you can think of with no change in pressure main bearings rod bearings pickup tube o ring times 2 pick up tube oil pump timing set oil pressure switch times 3 tried three different brands there is no filter under the switch but I like you didn’t know bought one of those too still got it cause they will sell it to you at the parts store I put a manual gage on it and it read same low oil pressure as the factory gage ended up meeting a guy who did same thing we did with same issues after and he had damaged lifter and spun can bearing

That’s the longest run-on sentence I’ve ever read.

There was no oil pressure on the bottom end. We already knew there was not on the top, but we really kinda expected the bottom end to be ok... So, interesting, but what does it mean?
The builder is thinking I originally spun a cam bearing, and lost pressure, and when it got worse it was because the bearing actually came out of the hole and there is a big open void causing even more pressure loss (the bottom end loss too).
We won't know until the teardown, but the motor comes out this weekend....

Sure, link me to it, I guess a new oil pump is in order, I have watched a couple YT vids on it, seems easy enough, hard part is harmonic balances, and if I break the damn bolt.... and the screw for the pickup tube, I guess fishing line and a magnet are the answer there.... While I have her apart, I guess new water pump, lower hose, and what else? Timing chain seems a waste to change as they rarely go bad....
Did you figure this out? im having a similar issue.

Yes, motor is now apart, she spun #2 cam bearing.... total rebuild in the works, line bore cam bearings, bore .020 over.... I will report more once we get the bottom end apart to know what shape the mains are in... but it looks like all that was wrong was the cam bearing....

Mains were fine, just a cam bearing.... I won't report back for a while, go on vacation next weekend for 2 weeks, but when I get back, he oughta have it all done...
