What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got my new remote in yesterday, programmed it this morning... awww yeah

However, now I realize I need to replace the two front door lock actuators. *sigh* I'l just have to add them to my list. They're weak, but usually will unlock and lock on the first try.

better yet why do some of you automatically suspect a cps anyway? someone spreading stories again?

I'm going to say nevermind on the CPS, it should throw a code for that which it didn't.


I'd probably start by getting a fuel pressure reading at higher RPMs.

Went to the JY yesterday.

Nice finds, my jy sucks.

How do I go about checking fuel pressure. Started it up and was running nice for a few minutes, opened hood to look and after a minute started choking and as it died I see a Puff of smoke come out the air filter. Assuming that's not good.

Its fresh since I added when I changed the heater valve off the side of the road but I did notice a little reddish orange when I wiped my finger inside the radiator hole. I'll test when I get home after work.

Went to the pull it yard and picked up the front door switch panels complete with the switches, 2 rear ashtrays, a working easy entry seat track and seat track trim. Came across an OBS Esky but the center floor console and cluster were long gone.....

Going to Jacksonville Fl. first week of June so I'm gonna hit up the JY while there and see what I can scrounge up...

Took the Yukon to another shop, guy said there was very little moisture in the system, it held a vacuum very well, and operating pressures looked very good. He did note, however, that the condenser behind the grille was nearly plugged with 14 years of road filth and cleaned it off. Everything is great for a whole lot less than the other place that wanted to replace half the system.

The I decided I may as do away with the steering wheel controls that worked great with the JVC I had, but really didn't seem to like this new Pioneer. I decided to slap in a steering wheel from a 04 trailblazer...

No airbag light, everything working normally...

I really like the new steering wheel man. That is going on the to do list for sure if it's an easy swap.

Should be easy. Do steps for removing air bag like unplugging battery then pull plug and take the nut off the middle and if there is another plug for the steering controls then remove and put new one in reverse order

Nope. Splines are different according to his post on FSC. That's what I was worried about.

They are? The nnbs ones are same spline from what I was told. Then you need a hub adapter like when you put a mono wheel or nardi wheel on a sports car. I had to get a hub to my del sol when I put my sparco wheel on
