I have had similar rear tips on mine, all it did was eventually jack the bumper paint up, with the gmt800's it never hurt anything because it was a chrome bumper

They changed the rear bumper design in '09 when they made other changes like offering A/C seats and the 6 speed to the non Esky/Denali line.

I have an '08 LTZ and the rear bumper design was different from '09+ in the fact that it didn't have the chrome strip across the black step pad as well as where the bumper meets the wheel well there is a little triangle shape on the bumper for '09+. The '09+ also has a hitch cover that is made to fit "into" the bumper and the '08 and back offered a hitch cover as an optional add on.

I now have an '09+ rear bumper on my Burb.

I always just assumed my rear bumper had been changed out to a non-LTZ bumper since I am the second owner, but after research I discovered that was not the case.

there's a hybrid out in the pick n pull right now locally, it's definitely more squared up on rear led's lights, the upper vent panel covers and the 3rd brake I would imagine the eskys are the same.
I should probably go back out and grab the lights before someone with brains figures out how to open the hatch

I had hybrids on my Yukon they dont fit the rear bumper of the normal Tahoe or Yukon. They are very blocky and I kinda dug the look till I got to the bumper line and it was ugly.

If you do grab the lights make sure to get the Panels above the lights to.

Man it haa been a while since i did something on the tahoe!

I finally changed the rear blend door actuator and did the learn via tech 2.

For the first time in a long time, i have ac in the back!

I took the old actuator apart and found nothing wrong.
So hopefully it's not something else...

This is an example of one of those going out, from my wifes enclave

If you look carefully, there is a tooth missing on the gear.

Interesting thing on the tahoes blend door actuator.
There are wiper things, i wonder if that's why it went weird.

Oh well, i really don't care to test it.

It looks like the contacts on the gear are pretty dirty.
But how much has the contact surface of the PCB been worn off?
Unless it's extremely easy to get to, I would just replace the actuator and be done with it.

I was curious if it died in the same way as the wife's buick.
Answer is no.

The contacts don't appear to be metal on the board.

I'm half tempted to keep it in my toolbox, but with how much time it takes to swap vs how much they cost = fk it.

Just neat, and a possible for someone that values their money more than their time.

The PCB traces are most likely some sort of carbon tracks.
I haven't seen copper wiping traces in decades.
Most likely similar to traces inside potentiometers.
