that's what silverados are forI was at the dump yesterday with a truck full of junk. After taking out what I could reach from the back, I went to the second row seat passenger side door to unload junk from the middle of the truck. I grabbed the door handle, pulled, and the handle came off in my hand, with the cable still attached.
Looking at the inside of the handle, it appears that the receptacles/nuts for the bolts holding the handle in place rotted out. So, the search for a replacement handle starts.
I don't think that my truck likes me loading it up with junk.

My 2010 Suburban had the same feelI feel my rear door handles aren't that easy to pull.
Need to hinge the pull around the front side of handle, and it is often harder to pull than I anticipated..
Not sure if it's just a shorty thing, or do long wheelbase handles feel the same?

There was no wind, so a few layers of warm clothing and no worries.Nothing short of war, would motivate me to work on my truck when it's 4 degrees!

In my youth, I did my share of wrenching out in the snow, both with snow on the ground, and sometimes with a snow storm in progress, with temperatures below freezing. Why???? It was the ONLY way that I could see my girl 150 miles away, and that was MORE than enough motivation for me.Nothing short of war, would motivate me to work on my truck when it's 4 degrees!
That's cheating!In my youth

I have a pic somewhere of me working in a driveway during a thunderstorm with a trash can behind me holding the umbrella cuz I needed to do brakes on my Buick Lesabre so I could go to work the next morning lolIn my youth, I did my share of wrenching out in the snow, both with snow on the ground, and sometimes with a snow storm in progress, with temperatures below freezing.
