I was at the dump yesterday with a truck full of junk. After taking out what I could reach from the back, I went to the second row seat passenger side door to unload junk from the middle of the truck. I grabbed the door handle, pulled, and the handle came off in my hand, with the cable still attached.

Looking at the inside of the handle, it appears that the receptacles/nuts for the bolts holding the handle in place rotted out. So, the search for a replacement handle starts.

I don't think that my truck likes me loading it up with junk.

I feel my rear door handles aren't that easy to pull.

Need to hinge the pull around the front side of handle, and it is often harder to pull than I anticipated..

Not sure if it's just a shorty thing, or do long wheelbase handles feel the same?

Warmed up to 4°F earlier, so I figured it was a good time to replace the crankshaft & camshaft position sensors. I was worried my LT-headers would make it difficult to get the starter out of the way, but I was able to just slide it forward, toward the front of the engine, and had plenty of room to work with.

Both sensors popped right out with minimal effort. I think the key was letting the engine idle for 10 minutes first, while I gathered the tools and parts. Once I finished I hooked up my Chinesium Tech2, and ran the relearn procedure...seemed to be successful.

Nothing short of war, would motivate me to work on my truck when it's 4 degrees!
In my youth, I did my share of wrenching out in the snow, both with snow on the ground, and sometimes with a snow storm in progress, with temperatures below freezing. Why???? It was the ONLY way that I could see my girl 150 miles away, and that was MORE than enough motivation for me.

I have a pic somewhere of me working in a driveway during a thunderstorm with a trash can behind me holding the umbrella cuz I needed to do brakes on my Buick Lesabre so I could go to work the next morning lol
Fun times...I won't do it again now that I got a garage.

Received my takeoff brakes, supposed to be from a '25 silverado.. Don't know mileage, but the pads look fresh enough to use. Just need to order rotors and fluid.. Hope I don't need washers.

Planning on plain 30mm cast rotors.. Unless grooved are worth it?

Those look like they fit the stock slider calipers...

But I'm also keeping my 17's for now. Looks like those would need 17.65" inside the hoop..
