Discovered I have a "Sqeee-eee-ee" sound everytime I power unlock, coming from my new rear driver side door latch. .

Drown it in ATF?

My drivers door bushing thing has been frozen for a while and PB Blaster, WD-40, silicone, white lithium, etc... would not free it up so it would rotate freely, but for **** & pickles I dribbled some ATF on the frozen parts while cleaning up after my new AT filter, and the bushing now rotates freely, and is silent. It's awesome.

I'm going from recommending Temu volume knob replacements into jumping head first into a concrete pool that may or may not be filled with liquid that may or may not be water.
shocks lol.jpg

Will make a short review of whatever arrives and if it will improve current ride quality and for how long. (yes that cost includes shipping)

Just preparing her for the 4'th crucial big haul job that's gonna be the biggest yet. A mini skid steer I ordered this summer is set to arrive and all the attachments all at once. Wasn't prepared for the weight of the attachments lol. But I'm sure Rosie will pull through, she always has. But those shocks will be one sad sight after all that.

I received the Airbag notice for our 2008 GMC Denali, received Phone calls direct from GM on the same issue. They told me not to allow any person to sit in the Passenger seat till this is fixed.

I called the local GMC dealer to set an appointment. Gave them the details of my GMC Yukon. They came back and told me, Quote : "your 2008 is too old, we do not work on any vehicle older than a 2009, you might try another Dealer"

So I responded, GM called me and told me I can't even put a person in my Passenger seat till this is fixed and you are telling me that you do not care? He responded, please hold sir. Then he came back and asked for my VIN number.

After a bit he said yes sir this is a recall on your 2008 Denali. Then he said I have to check supply on that part before I can schedule an appointment. After a hold he came back and said, I am sorry sir we can't get you in until Thursday the 28th, that is this week.
I was very surprised and booked the appointment. This 2008 already has a Dashcover on it, the solid plastic cover that looks a lot like OEM but is glued down on top of the factory dashboard. We will see if they can fix it with the dash cover intact?

Fingers crossed.

they can as long as that cover doesn't prevent the right side air vent from coming out, the cover does not go over the airbag in question.

I have removed and plastic welded a couple of these dash boards but this Yukon had so many cracks I went for the dash cover. It actually looks great but if you ever have to go inside the dash it will be a bugger to remove.

Do you have a link to your dash cover?

It has only been on there a few months now but looks great so far. My dash has the brown finish but they also offer other colors.

I picked up this truck in March and just recently got the recall note, followed up by phone calls and the phone call said do not drive with someone in the pass seat.

I'm jealous. The issue with the airbag swap is that they have to pry it out of the top, vs. the factory install from below before the dash is installed into the vehicle. Prying it out tends to flex the dash so much that it causes the corner crack. A brand new dash would likely also crack for the destructive procedure.
I think a majority of the dash cracks are due to the sun and the motor mounts. In addition to the obvious design flaws of the speaker/airbag location and the lack of a center support mount.
X2 paw paw…..
They quit sending these to me. In fact, I believe I’ve only received one letter and one of these cards.
You guys are more popular than I am, or maybe you have a stealership that is more concerned about it’s customers.
That bottom bolt of the washer tank is a bit$h. Just hard to reach and get a good angle to loosen/tighten.

Spent all of 1.5 hrs and I bet 1 hr 10 mins was fukking with that damn bottom bolt to the washer tank. :banghead:
Im sure you have already figured this out, but you can save yourself the trouble and remove the inner fender well. That will give you quick access to the bolt you were fighting and allows the tank to drop down further.
I like that a lot. especially the switch.
Heck yeah! That switch is the cats meow. I wonder if a guy could change out the LED color without too much of a bear. You could even pull the diode from an old panel and swap it out with the one in that usb plug.
