Ordered a fan shroud off of eBay since I cut mine to fit the old Cold Case radiator, wanted one unmolested to fit the new Cold Case radiator.

But they put it in a box that was about 2" narrower than the plastic hangers that mount the shroud to the rad... The box looked perfect except for the big hole in the side right where one of those ears was.
Got the radiator out and realized that was cracked and broken right there so it must have gotten caught and or mishandled somehow.

Took a few days, but they fully refunded me and I ordered another one from them, hopefully better luck this time.
Also bought two brand new fan motors since one of my fan motors was making some squeaking noises when I had it out and spun by hand.

Can you see any cast mold markings that show the shroud material? I'm curious if there's any glass-fiber reinforcing for it.

I still have it, they didn't ask to return it...so there's still 2 good fan blades and 2 potentially good used fan motors...
I will look again, but I'm pretty sure it does have glass fibers from what I saw.

I took those pics last Saturday

these ebay junk yard sites pack so badly. I've gotten 3 different things for free over the years because they can't box stuff. free is nice and I made it work, but would have been happy to have what I ordered without it looking like it fell off a cliff

I ask because with some patience, sacrificial filler, a soldering iron, and maybe/probably/likely a respirator, you could fix that.

Wash everything, shipped from China..... They have no regulations when it comes to, chemical residue, on anything. ( especially cloth material )

Messing with the buddies 08 Yukon today and it has a few electrical problems for sure. All fuses check good.
The remote door lock module would not work, so we replaced it with new and programmed it. Now the remotes work. Yeah!.
The TPMS system is acting weird. You can program it and it reads all 4 tires fine. As soon as you turn the truck off it forgets everything and will happen every time.
The Fuel pump works without going through the under hood fuse box. It does not even have a fuel pump relay in it.
When trying to remote start it, the headlights flash but nothing happens. And…
I su*k at electrical

Finally did my oil change and fix my catch can which had kinked lines and was leaking oil back onto the valve cover.
Grab the lighter and heat it up the stock plastic hoses and straightened out some bins so they were aimed where I wanted them to be.
Should be all good to go now.
Cold start, 40 PSI at idle.
Warmed up, 30 PSI.
Got to love fresh oil.

Does that switch kill the throttle? And, if it's sticky, would it cause a lag in throttle response after lifting off the brakes and hitting the gas?
How many switches are there on the brake pedal arm?
With Nissan, there is a brake light switch and a switch specifically for the CC.
The CC switch needs to be in the closed position in order for the CC to even turn on.
The CC switch and the brake light switch are switched opposite.
One is normally open and one is normally closed.
The CC is normally closed until the brake pedal is applied while the brake light switch is normally open until the brake pedal is applied.
The BCM reads both and needs the correct signal from each one for proper CC operation.

I have not looked into how GM does their CC, but that is something to consider with your brake pedal switches.

As a former Nissan-owner (Gen-1 Xterra and Gen-1 Armada) I wish GM's throttle response was half as good as the Nissan V8s.

gm has always had soft response, even cable throttle had big cam on the cable to open very slowly for the first half. it only got worse with electronic throttle.

it's all in the tuning, used to a guy that could tune the throttle blade speed on gm ecm's. but hptuners would never define it.

banks has a nice add on throttle tuner that looks much better designed than power Commander

if you think your throttle is slow, you should feel a hybrid throttle lol. it's like a 2 sec lag sometimes haha
