Swapped out my front brake pads.
New ones went in with zero issues, though I have not bedded them in, yet.
That will be done in the morning.
Greased the outer tie rod end while I had the wheels off.
Sure wish my Husky mud flaps had been delivered so I could have installed those while I had the wheels off.

I swapped out my front pads yesterday as well. It was glorious zero issues after my ordeal with the rears last month. We leave on a three week camper trip today.

Did you do any prep on the wiper arms or cowl before you painted them? Did you sand them at all? Use any primer or just the Trim Black paint?

I could see sanding the wiper arms a bit, but not sure about the cowl?
On the cowl I scrubbed with a green scuff pad and dawn dish detergent, rinsed and then wiped with an IPA solution (carpro eraser). Then sprayed.

On the wipers I scrubbed with scuff pad then sanded with 320 grit. SEM says use 400 grit, but it's what I had.

Two coats on all. I'll polish the wipers in a week or so. SEM does not call for a primer.

Well, my mud flaps showed up today, a mere 18 hours or so after I had the front wheels off for brakes.
Don't know if I'll take them off again. :(

But, it is time to tackle the steering angle sensor.
Time to become a contortionist and work under the dash for a few hours.

only 2nd to the top side creeper
I need one of those!

Got the steering position sensor done.
Zero errors when the steering wheel is turned.
Mission accomplished.

And yes, the inside still needs to be cleaned up.
It showed up completely dirty inside, have not had a chance to detail the inside.

This is the uv protector I used in my business. You mix a cap full each of the 2 small bottles. It's enough to do 1 set of headlights. You apply with a lint free towel. I gave a 1 yr guarantee on yellowing. Never got a call back. I actually used it on my aftermarket headlights on my Tahoe about 6-7 yrs ago and they still look good.

If your headlights aren't new, you'd need to restore them 1st before applying it.

OK, so how do I use this stuff on new headlights?

I figure I'll just do all 3 of my cars if it turns out well.

cleaned the tb and reset the idle after replacing some factory wire loom that was turning to dust, so had the air intake off. funny the only bad loom is what runs across the water pump. I've been half temped to put a little cooler stat in this thing for a while. I know they say it's not needed but being 115deg here and running 87. I feel like a 7-10deg cooler stat might help and definitely not hurt. really wish I had timing vs intake air temp table in hpt. blah.

debating sending off oil and trannys samples, but just 3k on the oil and 10k since the tranny fluid change. feels kinda early to get any good data back for the money.

I think I've finally confirmed no hybrid ecm has the capability of doing the virtual flex fuel and definitely won't get the support to enable a add on sensor. shame but it's not just hptuners and other scanners, that's not defined correctly. in the tech 2 not only is there no alcohol content % under fuel system. there's also no way to reset the virtual math under special stuff. I can't imagine they would leave the reset out if it was active

I was always pretty sure, but now I'm 100% sure. should have been obvious, no yellow cap no E. but there's always been disagreement about it. I'm sure since all the hardware is the same, the pumps lines and injectors can handle the alcohol, but the fuel correction just isn't there. not like anyone runs around wot racing in their hybrid, so it probably wouldn't ever hurt anything, but it's not correct.

Suede applicator pads were delivered. so tonight I'm going to try my hand at uv coating these new headlights. let them dry overnight, get them installed tomorrow so can send these old ones back for the warranty refund. going to be an interesting test.
