I got one cylinder head balanced out at 69cc.

Tackled the second and got it close last might.

Nice Mexican family next door has a friend that gives me dirty looks, so i ignore it.

Starting another Neighbor fight by ignoring them it seems, just like old Russell..

Yay!

Seems it's my thin blue line flag i put up last year and left up.
He tried to start an argument.
I watched him do something with his phone and tried to hold it up as he attempted to start a fight with me...

Me: no thanks; closed garage door

Ugg... lol

Drama... :emotions133:
Boo.. do not like.

On my mind, mostly i don't like people i don't know walking into my garage.
especially when i have my tool box open.

Heck, i even have a "Garage" pew i wear on my side.
Old fed agency sig p226 in .357sig.
I forget the exact agency, but i was told it was like port authority or something along those lines.

Battle field pickup grade!
(it was cheap, and looks awesome because of the honest wear)
With a little work, it became one of my favorites
ugly as fk, but its extremely flat pewing.
And after i converted the "DAK" trigger to a DA/SA type, it became :boobs:

The more I wear it in the garage, the more character it has.
:patriot:

And the last time i laughed in a neighbors face, i became part of some weird hillbilly feud. :jester:

Usually during the summer i have a big screen that keeps bugs out and blocks much of the view of the inside of my garage.
Lots of $$ invested in tools etc.
it's going back up once the hoe is done... lol

Or dress like this and close the garage door to waist-high and continue working:

Sp yesterday, we, haha, who am I kidding, the husband (with my assistance and encouragement) installed the cabin air filter kit. Boy, he had to do some bending and twisting under the dash I didn't think a 60 year old could do ha! As I have read others doing, we opted to leave the screw on the left out (nearest the radio) as it seemed just impossible to get that one back in. Condenser area clean. Nice. We also installed a "new" used inside door panel to replace the one the previous owner's dog used as a chew toy. Besides white dog hairs that I foresee finding forever in the future, with the few replacement pieces I replaced for other dog chews, the inside looks almost brand new now. The next project that I think I can do myself is use the 3M weather stripping black adhesive gunk for some of the weather stripping that is showing wear. I may start a new thread for this, but need some tips n hints on how to use the gunk. Saw a few videos that it is super messy. One of the areas is not only pulling away from the body on the floor but it also has a tear lengthwise, so I wasn't sure if I should try to put some on the tear 1st and then seal it up against the floor area or do the floor area first and then the tear?

Have you looked into a new weatherstrip?

I really don’t like what society has become, with cameras and social media ubiquitous. That said, I’d have a security camera on my house watching my property for a-holes like that.

(I do in fact have quite a few of my own, and I don’t even have any neighbors)

The 3M Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive (08008) is great stuff. Be sure to read the instructions and allow it to set up a few minutes before mating the pieces; not doing that is the most common mistake I've seen. If you're applying it horizontally on a vertical piece of material be aware that it can droop a bit; do a little at a time.

Also have an Australian Shepard that's very good at keeping an eye on the yard.
funny dog, even if he likes you the teeth come out in a creepy "smile".

Last night FedEx finally graced me with their presence, got the new oil pump!
Only 4 days late.

And today my task is to first clean the garage for any rouge cotton fluffs that seem to find their way everywhere.
(somehow they manage to find their way into every oil passage way in the engine if i leave it un bagged )

Then close the garage door, unbag the engine.

install oil pump and see if i can't tighten down the cam bolt...
If yes, then on goes the front cover and oil pan!!

from there I'll toss the valley cover on loosely.

then back to cylinder head work!!

supposed to be like 90 next weekend, yay summer...
I was supposed to have this thing done by now, but at least I'm nearly out of the engine internals.
Been focused on not allowing my self to sweat or blead inside of the engine!

Sweat will corrode, and blood will eat holes in metal if left.

I still haven't checked pushrod length, seems i need the actual valve springs installed if i wish to compress one of the new lifters. :emotions33:
Once i have that figured out, the engine is ready to get installed in the hoe (w/o the heads)!!

Also learned something new watching youtube vids on head porting, apparently when you reseat the valves like i did back in Dec.
the valve height changes, and you have to be wary of that and possibly shim the springs or some nonsense.

so that's going to be something i need to learn about before the heads go on.
So they might take a "quick" trip to the machine shop once i have the heads where i like them.

Drove about an hour south for nieces graduation party. Had to get gas before heading back home and didn't see E85 nearby, so filled up with 93.

Took 24.8 gallons at $3.29 a gallon, so just under $82 total [emoji33]

Alcohol % before filling was 70%. On the way home it settled down to 15%.

I'll have to see if it changes any after a cold start tomorrow.

Still reading 15% alcohol content after a cold start today.

Not yet...is it a do-it-yourself item?
I’m not sure exactly which weatherstrip you’re referring to but yes they can be purchased and replaced. I’m just mentioning it because you said it’s showing signs of wear and it has a tear. You can look up parts for your vehicle on an online dealer parts site like www.gmpartsgiant.com and then Google the part number for a price. Always check for a shipped price, some places will show you a low price for the part but no shipping cost until you get ready to pay, and it’s high. I buy most of my stuff on Amazon or Rock Auto but sometimes only the dealers have it.
