For future reference. This might be helpful with the exhaust manifold bolts.

To some degree yes but in my case I could feel the bolts flexing as I backed them out. The locktite was doing it's job and no amount of penetrating oil was helping. I did it with it as warm as I could stand to try and have soft Locktite. I was afraid working the bolts back and fourth could cause them to break or gall into the aluminum. I found that once I had them loose using my 3/8 air ratchet and just spinning them out worked the best. I got lucky and got all twelve out.

For the record his method is a solid method in most cases but there are some where it can fail.

Picked up all new tranny and fuel black braided lines this am. Maggy should be delivered next week. I'll be bale to add her, after I get back from vacay!

IDK, just wingin’ it. o_O I’m sure you have it figured out. What are your plans? OEM or aftermarket?
Not sure. I do know I want to try and get a gen 4 engine but if I can’t find one in budget it’ll be a gen 3. If I get gen 3 I’ll most likely use factory if it comes with it. No less than 5.7l and only aluminum block I’m looking to get.

Went to leave for work this morning..... completely dead. Used the key to unlock, tried to turn on the dash and nothing. Used the explorer and wife had AAA jump it. Said it fired right up. Sooo, either the kids left a some light on( did think it would kill it that bad after 1 day), or it's the tail light on my drivers side.

The brake light wasn't working a few weeks ago. I took it off and but a brick on the brake pedal. Started moving the wires and it was going on and off. Managed to get it to work but I'm wondering if that is what is draining it? Guess I'll cut it open and see what wires are loose and try to fix it Saturday.

I've left my dome light on a few times with no problems. Just got in after it's been sitting for a week or so, started it as normal then I saw the light on then press the switch as normal to turn it off. The PCM will kill power to it after some time. I don't know if it kills the lights after an amount of time has elapsed or when the battery reaches a specific voltage.

I don't see how the brake light would drain the battery even if there was a dead short because there shouldn't be power to it unless the pedal is pressed.

I'd start with the usual method for a parasitic draw- at the fuse box with a DVOM set for mA at the battery.
