It looks so nice when its done...to bad that only lasts until i start driving around and then it turns into a dirty brownish mess. Its got the consistency of a chocolate syrup haha

Which one? The small ***** sticking out or the squirting hole?
Yes. I had an ******* in front of me a few times during my morning commute last year. He would drive below the speed limit by a few mph when normal traffic drove 8-10 over. He had his rear wiper set to squirt the vehicle behind him. What an immature little pos. After the first time, I made sure to get in front of him and brake check him a couple times just to pay him back. It became my mission to look for him and mess with the fu*@er.

Tooo NASTY!!...I'd almost be tempted to spay it with bedliner or some other rubber coating. - By the way, that ramp on the right don't look to good.

Just finished the Dorman heater hose/y fittings.

That f*****g sucked, lost just about all my coolant out of the motor. What's the secret to this swap? I just watched a video and he lost maybe a quart. Mine pissed out the entire time what a F*****G ***** that was, now I'll spend the rest of the afternoon cleaning up coolant running down my driveway.

What's the best way to re-start with little to no coolant?

yeah its not haha. We may have over loaded it when we drove a plow truck up on it oops. We dont use them to actually gut under vehicles theyre just for cleaning the beds on pickups easier.

On the rubber under coating, we found out is actually bad for a frame thats got even a little rust on it. Supposedly it seals in the moisture and helps the rust form. Idk how true it is but when i tried the rubber coating it only lasted a few months then started to peel off with flakes of rust.

fill it back up with the front end of the truck up at a slight angle so the air will come out, fill it, start it up, let it get up to normal operating temp, top it off, replace the reservoir cap, drive it down the road and back, pop the hood check the level (on level ground) if it needs to be topped off again do it, if not you are good to go. other than that check for leaks.

Thanks man appreciate it, sucks because its too low to fit a jack under it. I'll have to drive it up a ramp and let it get up to temps.

Next, Rinse it down with the hose to get any coolant in and around the motor and engine bay.

Just replaced my ISS and started on the Dorman Y/coolant lines.

Is there some trick to get the line off from the firewall? I just watched a video and he got it off pretty quickly but, mine will not budge. Is there a tool to help the removal ?
Yes there are tools... they look like this...

He probably hooked the system up to vacuum while he did it... thats the only way not to lose all the coolant...

The procedure I’ve always followed to refill the cooling system after a complete drain is the one in the service manual, it’s never let me down.

Filling Procedure

Notice: The procedure below must be followed. Improper coolant level could result in a low or high coolant level condition, causing engine damage.

  1. Install the lower radiator hose to the radiator.
  2. Using the J 38185 , reposition the lower radiator hose clamp.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

  1. If the left and right engine block coolant drain plugs were removed, perform the following:
  1. Apply pipe sealer to the drain plugs.
  2. Install the drain plugs.
Tighten the drain plugs to 60 N.m (44 lb ft).

  1. Install the engine block coolant heater, if equipped. Refer to Coolant Heater Replacement (LH6, LY2, LMG, LY5, and LY6) (See: Engine\Engine Block Heater\Service and Repair\Coolant Heater Replacement (LH6, LY2, LMG, LY5, and LY6))Coolant Heater Replacement (L76, L92) () .
  2. Lower the vehicle.
Important: Use a 50/50 mixture of DEX-COOL antifreeze and clean, drinkable water.

  1. Slowly fill the cooling system with a 50/50 coolant mixture. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities .
  2. Install the coolant pressure cap.
  3. Start the engine.
  4. Run the engine at 2,000-2,500 RPM until the engine reaches normal operating temperature. Engine should reach an operating temperature of 90°C (194°F) and the upper radiator hose should be HOT.
  5. Allow the engine to idle for 3 minutes.
  6. Shut the engine OFF.
  7. Allow the engine to cool.
  8. Top off the coolant as necessary.
  9. Inspect the concentration of the engine coolant using the J 26568 .
  10. Rinse away any excess coolant from the engine and the engine compartment.

Thank You, I'll go over it again tomorrow while I'm installing my windshield washer fluid tank, yay.

Twice, oh g-d. At least you were prepared for round two haha.

I also replaced my drivers door pin, that was fun. Its nice to be able open and close my door without having to put my ass into it haha.

Ok now that the wiper motor is unplugged and removed the rear glass won’t unlatch. I knew the wiring was related between the 2 parts. Does anybody have a wiring schematic for the rear tailgate?

Of course I did not realize this until everything was put back together. ****...
