Thanks George, those look perfectly sized, not too big, not too small, just right!
They do work well.
I had a set of Husky molded ones but they would not work with my power boards and I figured would rub my tires. These are the same size and I used the layout for the husky ones to locate the holes in these for mounting. Slight mod to the boards and they clear by a hair.

Why did GM switch from the A/C tensioner to the Stretch-to-Fit belt anyways? The tensioner on mine works perfectly and was easy to replace as was the belt.
probably because of all the squeaky tensioners they have had to replace and 1 less part to assemble on the assembly line, less cost, that's penny pinching gm for ya

Probably less cost when building.

Also maybe to have one less pulley or spring mechanism to go bad and cause the belt to snap.

More than likely the first reason

Edit: Doubeleive beat me to it. I type slow on my phone.... Lol

Less cost and one less part to wear out plus supposedly less noise and vibration. They’re now used by almost every vehicle manufacturer for accessories like ac compressors, power steering pumps etc.

I have that Lisle tool also, but have never used it yet.

Since I just replaced the belt and tensioner pully on my 2001 the other day, (yes, it uses a tensioner pulley like the serpentine system does), I noticed that on my 6.2 there is threaded holes in the locations to mount an AC tensioner pulley. The AC belt on the nbs is a bit longer also, because of the use of a tensioner.

So I'm pretty confident that a nnbs can be retrofit with a nbs belt and tensioner pulley if someone wanted to

How long did it take you to do the pump?

Couple hours total with a break for dinner and a little league game.

How's the other pump?

The aux tank pump? No idea. I only replaced this one because BBP said it wasn't keeping up at higher RPM. It still works just surface rusty on top.

Surprised that you’re still not changing you’re own oil after the stories you’ve told about the incompetence of the folks that you’ve been having do it. Besides, didn’t you buy like 5 gallons of Mobil1 last year when they had all the rebates or do you bring your own oil in for them to use?

I’d make sure to double check how tight the filter is.
i trust the person who is doing it, i found another place to do it at... all they do is oil changes and smog tests for 20 years..(one guy just does oil changes and the other only does smog tests)...

Washed and spray waxed with the turtle wax hybrid. Not sure on that product yet. I sprayed it on when the truck was wet but couldn’t get it all dried fast enough to prevent going back over with the wet towel and following with a dry one. I thing a pre dry with a towel then spray and final dry is the way. Still think I like to apply a product by hand and polish better. Started raining the second I was done. No joy ride tonight.

And I used that nice car wash brush that @Rocket Man mentioned.
