thanks... for the odd bumps, I found a pretty good method. Pull up on the side so the air has an escape. Then work side to side top to bottom with your fingernail to make sure it’s all covered with no bubbles
Hydrodip. was that not an option? Impressive end result, but that's a lot of work.

It's a very strange thing to look down and see a knife sticking out of your leg. I should've taken a picture, but that wasn't really on my mind...

Dropped off the 6k mile oil sample, from the Burb, at the PO. Will update with the Blackstone report once I receive it.

I normally run 13k - 15k mile OCIs. Blackstone wanted to run a sample at 6k to have something to compare too.

Was doing some prep work under the truck today and noticed that after ten years, the truck has never had a wheel alignment; or at least caster and camber adjustments. The plastic inserts on the alignment cams that were installed at the factory are still there after all this time.

Got the lifter of death

Replaced all gaskets (except rear main)
Lapped valves
new valve springs
new timing set
AFM delete
new oil pump
replaced transmission cooler lines
new manifolds and studs (both rear manifold bolts broken on each head)
replaced significant amount of wire sleeves as most had deteriorated
replaced both motor mounts
ARP head bolts
ARP crank bolt
New water pump

Finally bought mats. I've still got the plastic from the dealer on the floor (purchased in April). :D

Did it all without pulling the motor?

Where did you get the wire sleeves from?

The whole thing for 85? Is that normal?

No shit! Cheap!

Yes, complete Esky cluster shipped for $85. They go for over twice that normally. This place only had one picture of theirs ( not the pic I posted) and it looked like it was messed up so I asked the seller if it was just the way the light hit it, explained it was for a custom truck and needed to be close to perfect, and they said it was the picture and it was in excellent shape. They wanted $110 so I offered $60 and we ended at $85. Here's their pic. I have it in writing that it's in excellent condition so EBay's money-back guarantee will protect me if it's not but it's from a 2012 so I believe them.
