Had some busted headlight mounting tabs so I pulled them both and made repairs. Went to amber DRLs while I was in there. What a job that is!

Nice work

Thanks! I should have taken more pics but I was having trouble with my back and needed to get done to go get a trailer load of fire wood. I ended up doing both of the bottom ones the same as the photo and one outer top one. Turned out good. Need to check the aiming of them now.

A week or so ago I mentioned adding padding to the rear wheel wells, I didn't get pictures and got rightfully scolded. I don't want to tear it all apart again, but today I was able create an example. I also added a layer of padding over the insides of the doors and up around the door handles. Here are the pictures:

This is what I started with in the rear, this isn't my Tahoe but it's an example of the lack of insulation.

This is the materials I used to cover the wheel wheels, the jute then the black stuff over the jute and up the side wall

Here is a front and back picture of the black material

I will continue in the next post, in case it's too picture heavy

I got the idea of lining the door skins from looking at 05-06 Escalade Platinum door skins. Normal Escalades in those years had just white cotton stuff, but the Platinums had a black layer over the cotton. Since I work at a packaging place, we have all sorts of foam for all sorts of purposes.
All of this work has paid off, it is super quiet inside and I can't hear any rattles

Just curious what you used to attach the extra materials? Spray adhesive or?

Nice!

So on the Tru Max cooler, did you end up moving it or will it fit in the stick upside down triangle brancket?

Depends on if the factory trans cooler mount is welded or bolted on. Mine was welded, so there was more fabrication involved.

Even after that fabrication you will need brackets to mount it an you'll have to cut the passenger side trans cooler line and use a compression fitting; to line up the lines with the new trans cooler.

Thanks for the pics and feedback on the results. It's good to know what actually makes a difference with this kind of stuff.
