What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Cut my Yukon XL in half and removed 12” from the frame, then welded it back together and added fishplates for additional strength. Now it’s a little longer than a Yukon and a little shorter than an XL.

Where are you removing the extra body length from?
I'm really interested to see your final product.

I bet the body shortening is gonna be the hardest part (by far). Think it should be called the Yukon L (just to be contrary ha ha)

It will be getting a different body. It’s getting a 1941 Cadillac and I had to change the length to accommodate the new body. I will be using the floor pan and firewall from the Yukon and grafting the Cadillac body to them.

I was going to use a GMC Envoy but I thought the Yukon was just a better base. It will be a little more difficult due to the width of the firewall, but I seem to gravitate to challenges…..in other words, I’m stupid

Been keeping busy. Frame is painted and re “waxed” with cosmoline. Time for assembly.
