I drive my 2024 GMC Yukon XL Denali super easy--I always start slow, accelerate smoothly, brake with pad/rotor heat in mind, and I don't ever, and will never tow anything. It's my most expensive vehicle currently and I put a lot of thought and patience into ordering it, so I want it to last a long, long time.
Well today, it looked like my precious, still-new-condition Denali was about to get rear-ended, so I launched a little hard to get out of the way--revved to about 3-4k I think, and surprisingly, even chirped the rear tires (it was in 2WD).
Now me, being a worrier, am worried about something prematurely going out in the transmission/torque converter, or having that 10-speed develop some kind of dumb bucking issue or something.
Is this something these big SUVs can actually take, since it is hopefully a one-off event?
Anyone here actually drive their 3.0L SUV fairly hard unlike me, usually, and have premature issues?
