Gruven Ts don't have o-rings, they have hose clampsOne thing I didn’t see mentioned here, and I have no experience with then metal ones is how difficult is it to remove the metal ones if they leak in the future?
Looking all over the shop, trying to find something that fits. Found a spent 50 BMG shell casing, cut the base off, gave each end a mild flare, and clamped it in place. It was still in place years later when we traded the truck.
That sleeve around the trans tube is interesting. The tab looks easy enough to cut, BUT that's assuming you can reach in there..
If you had to cut the body of the T apart, that might be more of a problem with the Dormans..

I would never go with the Gruven ones for that reason. I couldn’t even install all those and tighten them with my supercharger in the way, I can barely get the quick connect ones on. And I’m not a fan of clamps at all.Gruven Ts don't have o-rings, they have hose clamps![]()

Pretty sure mine had that too. I may have shredded it accidentally during the engine swap, and didn't feel like replacing it.That sleeve around the trans tube is interesting.
I've never had an Oeteker step clamp fail or leak. They can be tough to install based on clearance since you have to use a crimp tool but they are as close to 100% reliable as you can get. Pretty common on German makes.Last I recall you were a spring clamps guy
You are good for another 100,000 miles.
