I got some nice chevy chromed center caps today from a fellow member. I wanted to put them on my 22's, but they're just a hair too small.

Anyone have any ideas to make them work? I think the black wheels will look good with the chrome caps, even tho I don't have any other chrome on the Hoe.
You don't think they'll break if I need to pop them out?You might be able to wrap some wax paper around the tines of the cap, tape the cap in place in the hole, then flip it upside down so the face of the wheel is facing down. Get some JB weld and fill the cap in that way. Then, you'd still be able to remove them if you want to, but it would snug it up.
I'll give it a shot.Use black high temperature rtv sealant Tony. The same you would use on a Trans pan. It will fill the gap and won't become brittle under the brake heat. Will be invisible when it dries I promise.

Plugged the new one in and everything works, even tho mine never came with the power fold option.View attachment 201135 View attachment 201136 View attachment 201138
If you have the DIC, then you can program them to do that. Mine is the LS model, so mine is pretty basic. I have the switch now, so now I need to get some power fold mirrors. Mine don't aim down when in reverse because I don't have the DIC to program that feature.Nice! Do those mirrors also aim down to the ground when you reverse? My bro-in-law's ex had a NBS Yukon that would do that when she would reverse.
Ah ok. Yeah ours is the LS also, so it wouldn't either. It's funny though, the truck is still pretty loaded up with features. Leather, 6-way power on driver and passenger seats, 3rd row seating, power/heated mirrors, tow package... BUT, I don't think the "reverse" function on the mirrors was even available on the '00s.
Only if you have the DIC, you can program that function. The reverse function is on the NBS trucks my Escalade has it, I have it turned off but it’s there in the DIC

Spoken like a true DIC user. Sounds like you needed alot of practice to learn how to use the DIC.The power of the almighty DIC. Y'all just need to get yourselves a DIC and you'll have all the control you're missing. I enjoy using my DIC. It does more for me than I need it to. It got me in trouble a few times, but that was before I learned how to properly use it's features. Ever since my DIC and I became one with each other, our drives have been drama-free. Jenn never did learn how to use the Tahoe's DIC and I had to coach her over the phone a couple of times. But she drives a different car now that doesn't have such a DIC.

Wish I knew. I'd really like to add a DIC to the Hoe. So many more optionsI did! It has four areas to press on and each one does something different when you press it there. Even then, some of features of the DIC won't work unless you have the lever in the "P". I usually have the lever in "D" but I can stop and put it in "P" to have unbridled access to all that my DIC has to offer.
Is the NBS similar to the NNBS where it has the harness for the DIC behind the instrument panel bezel and all you need is the button assembly and the bezel with the spot for the buttons?
Whoa, whoa, no gun talk here!DICs and Hoes with trucks, *****, Butts and Ramrods with muzzleloaders...
