Plugged the AC into the bottom of the main unit.

I left my interior lights on and so am charging my battery so I can't try it in the truck right now.

I'm not getting 12v from the AC adapter so hopefully that's all it is.

AC adapter is definitely dead. Just hooked it up using the battery cable adapter and it starts up fine.

I'm guessing this adapter goes with this cable. But what I don't get is how does it actually make a connection when there are no pins on one side?

I just found out. And now I know why it's so tough to get them together. I did take a good look before I asked, honest. Still can't get it them to snap together though. Hopefully will work anyway.

Mine are super tight and never really "latch" together, but work fine otherwise

I already tried hitting it with my purse. I even greased it up with oil off my nose. It's 1/16 off. I think it will be fine.

ya they are pretty snug try taking it apart and putting it back in a few times and then push till the clip holds it together

Well, I'm not having much luck. The ABS bleed function doesn't even show for a 96 or 97. Shows up at 98 but screen goes blank and nothing happens if I try it. When I try anything it either says it lost communication or the screen does nothing. And the screen contrast has reset twice now.

Anyone used this on a 96 or 97?
