Should the light on the Candi module be lit at all times?

I got the VCX Nano from UK about 4 weeks ago and wanted to send it back first because it did not work. Problems with the license and it did not want to run.
Then I communicated with the Chinese via Whats App and then they made it work with a remote function.
Then I tested it on our 2000 Blazer, because many people in our forum in Germany wanted to know if it can do ABS Bleeding,
After that I tested it on our 2015 Tahoe and got into all the options and also found a bug in the airbag, which was reported to me a week before by a Chevy dealer in Berlin, during a recall program.
I also made 2 small videos where you can see that it works, unfortunately they are in German.

yes they work, getting the software setup correctly is tricky at best. sometimes it doesn't work after you get it setup and then they update it and it works, and then sometimes they update and it stops working. so once you have it set and working, DO NOT update it unless it stops working. if it shows there is a update available and it is still working just ignore the update and leave it be.

It should be lit up and or flashing and then show up on the splash screen as being connected which yours is not showing. Good news though, you do not need it for yours Tony, so unplug it and move on.

Thats what I needed to know. Can you explain why the "GM TIS2000 USBKEY free get" was the choice?

It was my best guess for trying to decipher their Chinese to English interpretation.

The 1st option is "No need GM TIS2000 or Saab TIS2000" which I interpreted to mean... "No I don't need any Software".

The 2nd option is "Saab TIS2000 USBKEY free get" which I interpreted as...
"Send me the Saab Software".

And finally option 3 was " GM TIS2000 USBKEY free get" which I assumed meant...
"Send me the GM Software".

Hopefully the "Chenglish" is strong with me and I chose wisely.

The TIS2000 software requires an "authentication" key in order for it to work. When the dealerships used this program the authorization key came from GM, I guess. So you need the USB Key or dongle to give the software the authorization to work.

This only applies to updating or reflashing modules from my understanding. The Tech2 will function on it's own without the software. That is just for programming. And now TIS2000 is basically obsolete because of TDS which requires a subscription, again, only for programming.

this might be the latest one I used, the link is in this link, disable any security software before you download it or it might get deleted at the very end of the download when it checks the file

***edit yes it is the most recent one i used because it notes that it is specifically for the vxnano

also before you install that, remove any previous version and clear any temp files from windows first

The way they have it listed, you want GM English for the 33.004 software and it is up to you whether or not you want to fool with the TIS2000 software. It is not necessary to have it to use your Tech-2 or for programming should that day come. It's a nice to have feature only for replaying recorded snapshots from the Tech-2 onto a larger screen, that's it.

What does it do once you get into the menus? On my '04, when it's connected to the OBD port, the light flashes while I'm past that menu -- can't recall if it flashes AT the menu you show, but it does for sure after that. It also clicks when I am changing menus and selecting menu items. Mine also does NOT "show" that the CANdi module is connected.

Of course, I don't use it unless I need a few more feet of cable to reach.
