Here in Eugene, Oregon there are no high school vo-techs in the area and the one local community college, that has an automotive course, has an instructor that I have left messages for 2 times and get no calls back. I am not willing to give the tools away. Especially when me and Linda want to travel for a bit. I will sell them, either all at once or piece by piece or set by set. Until then, I will use them for whatever work I can still do. Thanks for the input.

No insult was intended.

I agree with Joe. I am in the same situation. My tools were from my Dad and are over 60 years old. My daughters do not want them. I plan to donate them to my local high school vocational center or one of my nephews.

I still have to decide what to do with my 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that I have owned for 52 years as well as my my 30 year old Jeep Cherokee. I hope one of my nephews wants the Monte Carlo. The Jeep I can sell.
My dad had EVERY Craftsman tool they made and built a set in the late 60's. I still have them all. Potentially a thousand pieces. 1/4 to 3/4 sockets Every metric and English, deep and shallow, 6 and 12 point... just for starters.... Roller and top box. Gave them to me appx 2005, passed in 2013. I have gotten great use and memories out of them as I was taught how to use them as a young man when you needed tools not computers to work on a vehicle.... I'll keep and use them till I can't and then they will go to my Son-In-Laws, one of which is a farmer who farms 4K acres. They need to live on and help another generation like they have helped me....

The Monte Carlo is in very good shape. The engine and engine compartment were restored last year and the body and interior were done 20 years ago and could use a couple touch ups. I really want to keep the MC in the family so I am not interested in selling yet. The Jeep is my daily driver with over 230000 miles but has the straight 6 and looks and runs great. I did have it repainted 3 years ago because of the sun fading the roof and the hood. I am sure it will sell with no problem when the time comes.
