Hey guys i just did a TB swap from a 3 bolt 78mm w/4bolt adapter to a 4 bolt LS7 90mm.. It made a huge difference with my setup.. I read it would give me 2lbs of boost and about 30hp on Performancetrucks.net

Did you ever put on a smaller pulley? You should get a boost gauge to see what you are making now.

This is a great mod, if you are assuming that you are pulling in more air than your 78mm could support- especially with an LM7. Unless you're maxing out the blower, an extra 2lbs of boost is a lofty expectation.

No I didnt put a smaller pulley on the blower i went the other way and went with a bigger crank pulley. I don't have a boost gauge yet I'm looking to get one soon!! My performance shop said the crank pulley would give me 3-4lbs of boost he got a boost reading but I totally forgot to ask lol but I'm guessing with the throttle body now it's at 10-11lbs of boost.. Not sure though

It's for sure pulling more air, you can tell!! I had a big air ristriction I measured it and it was 7" with the stock TB .. My blower intake hole was being blocked with the stock TB and adapter I had.. This blower is made for the newer Model gm trucks/ suv and requires the 4 bolt big TB

It was a great mod it launches really good and punching it on a roll is totally different it is more responsive and you feel the power much better with the 90mm

One more thing i forot you need a X-LINK to do this mod

Nice I'm expecting a TVS this spring since I can't get my shit together with this nitrous kit I have halfway installed. I think my trans will like the blower more, especially with some good torque management in the tune.
