how in the hell did it hit a 12.70? what all did it have besides a exhaust and stall? Thats all i would really want is just a 100 shot... with the right tune. That on my tahoe should fly other than it slipping going into second.

i gotta agree with black here.. Nitrous on big trucks is sick.. the only issue is with me i would have to run a sick integrated system with launch modes and stages and stuff and by the time you get all the parts and tuning done to do a system like that.. you might as well have done forced induction

you can do 100 to 125 shot on stock.

BUT, here is the layout:

haul *** for 5-6 runs
refill, pay $$$$$$$

repeat


OR

Tune, cam,stall, gears, enjoy all the time, and never refill. After initial investment, you'll enjoy it more.

my tbss at 4900 pounds mods being yank ptb3600/flt trans/drag radials. Stock intake/tune/exhast etc nothing else touched ran 12.7@104 that new yank ptb3600 is a killer stall and very streetable.

Since them we have done ls1 fans/tune/muffler swap/intake add that along with a 50 shot i should be in the 11s easy

after thinking about it i think i have a 100 shot in there. I only got to hit it like one good time cuz the bottle was low.

HARRIS SPEED WORKs kit is the bomb. my buddy on my tbss site ran a 13.25 on his awd tbss all motor at 5300 pounds with him in it. With 100 shot ran a 12.08 and he hit it after the 60 foot mark.

the harris speed works kit way its a 360 degree mist is the way to go. remember keep 950-1000 lbs of bottle pressure. I went with a 10lb bottle because ill be going to the street races and i have it all hidden under the cover. Im sure with a 50 shot ill be in the 11s. Im temped to do a 100 shot and run 11.60s and its still safe for the truck just a lot of street racing buddies are going to be there as well as the mustang guys that ive raced. Im going to tell them im on a 100 shot when im really on the 50 shot then just change the jets at street races and put a hurting on a few people lol

wow thats fast in a big ass boat!... i would love to pull a 12 in my tahoe. with my current mods and my port a polished heads, do you think i could pull that or at least a low 13 with a 100 shot?

With a tb stall no especially with that cam you have. That cam would need a bigger stall. Also what gears do you have? what tires are you running?

yeah im actually going to get a 3000 stall when i get my RPM tranny. But i have 3.73's and stock tires and wheels off a 07nnbs tahoe. 265/65/18s

NOT FULL SIZE SUV'S! but hey, to each there own i guess. what is a laughable gesture to one is cool shit to another i guess? why start with an 18 sec truck and make it a go fast? could have at least started with a TBSS or something. but hey, enjoy!

yeah, i didnt plan on making my tahoe fast... it just kinda started happing. By anymeans its not the fastest thing.. i work on ls1's almost everyday and just started messing with my ls motor in my hoe. I think its just awsome pulling up to people and they are like do you have a cam in there? not something you see everyday.... i just like something different. But like you say to each his own.

I know all about 12's in an SUV. My TBSS ran 12.40 @ 109.82 in the quarter with just a few bolt ons, no power adders or nitrous. We had a TBSS on the forum running 8's and I thought that was silly. But you're right, you pull up next to me when I'm in a sports car, and you're in a Tahoe, and you whoop me.... well, I'll get a chuckle out of it and give you a thumbs up. Vette and Mustang boys HATED getting beat up on by my TBSS.

yah my wifes ran 12.7 wiht only mod being stall converter and drag rads. Stock tune everything else stock and full weight. We did our bolt ons after that so im sure on teh 50 shot ill be in high 11s. Ill see in about 2 weeks what it will do.

well if i really want to go that fast ill just jump in my mustang... should be puttin the motor in it here soon. Got a 347 going in it and it will be on a 250 shot.

but i just wanted to be different having this hoe. Then i got on here and saw there was alot more guys doing the same thing lol. I would love to trade it for a tbss though!

lol... well i know a little bit. Just kinda wanted some info on putting a safe kit on my tahoe. nothing to crazy like my mustang.

the motor im getting is actually a built 349, its got a 250 shot on it right now but i think its a little much. The guy im getting it from pulled a 9.80 something in the 1/4 just with the motor. He said when he hit the spray all it did was blow the tires off. haha so im thinking once i get it right i should be in the high 8's. Ill get some pics up soon... The motor is still in the car at my work got to pull it out sometime within the next week.
