The HVAC control came in today and of course it's the wrong one; it's the one for trucks that don't have a rear defrost which mine has. Stupid Amazon. There isn't one of the correct parts in the warehouse deals available right now so I'll just wait and see if one comes in. I liked the idea of saving $50. So instead of that, I painted the grill. Good thing I have no wife and my daughter doesn't get home till 2 AM because this house stinks bad. I opened all the doors awhile ago but its cold out so I closed them again for awhile. Anyway it looks good. Masking in those cracks was a ***** lol. A good cleaning, 2 coats of SEM adhesion promoter and 3 coats of Krylon Superbond like the rest of my plastics.

Yesterday when i had my bumper off i quick sprayed the support arms, ps cooler and trans cooler because it was looking white-ish from ******* salty NY roads... Got away with it tho, she didnt come out into garage...

Now I want it to get dark 'cause....I pulled it back off and installed a strip of RGB led's across the top. I was wondering where I would be able to mount some and it hit me like a brick. I want to see them in the dark.

Nice work cleaning up the grille and background. Now drop off at tint shop for 50% on shield. Those minis will let you see the road just fine.

Yep I bought a 15' roll for $15 and some connectors for $5. Here's some night shots. One strip across the top lights the whole grill and it looks like the demon eyes are connected across the top. It came out even better than I expected. Plus when I hit unlock on the fob like in the first pic, the projectors turn on and the strip lights in a matching white, and when I lock it the strip turns yellow to match the turn signals.

Since Amazon sent me the wrong hvac control and I sent it back, I decided to try the stickers. Figured I have nothing to lose.

Mine's actually in better shape than that one except the damn buttons are worn out. Thanks though. I'm trying for a brand new look in the cab but good luck with your sale. Now if you had a dash that wasn't cracked...I may end up having to buy one of those electric stapler melter things and try a repair on it. Damn $450 dash skin.

I got the ABS ring install tool today and I have to admit it’s the most ridiculous tool I’ve ever bought- the thing is huge and weighs about 10 lbs. I’ll need a mini sledge hammer to put it to use. And it’s only good for one thing ?

I was reading up on the disc brake conversion and realized the thick backing plate that I thought was only to mount the parking brake assembly is also needed to mount the caliper bracket so yesterday I ordered them. Amazon warehouse deals had one that was supposedly "used-good condition" with some slight blemishes and since it won't be seen anyway I didn't care. It came today and it's perfect. The new one was $42 and this one was $13. I'm contemplating cutting off the ear that sticks out anyway because I have no parking brake assemblies. I also found out I need to get the male brake line fittings that connect to the hoses that go to the calipers since the drum assembly has hard lines that attach directly to the back. I'll need to cut those lines and do a double flare to install the fitting. Something I've never done. I plan on doing the conversion and repair the ABS ring this coming week.
Edit: I just pulled the rear rotors out of storage and they're grooved. I remember now that at one point the pads were metal to metal for just a bit at one time but I think they can be resurfaced so Monday I'll see about that. $28 is better than new rotors so I'm hoping for the best. Then I can paint the hats.
