Hey all. I’ve had tons of lowered silverados and I’m looking at buying an 07 Tahoe to lower like 2/4. I cam across a great deal on one but it’s a 4wd. I know you can lower it but are there any pros or cons to doing so? Or can I remove the driveshaft and axles since I probably not use it very much? Is the mpg or tire wear worse with 4wd? Thanks in advance

With only a 2" drop, you can keep it 4WD. I recommend spindles for this. MPG is rated (I think) something negligible like 1 MPG less than 2WD. Tire wear should be the same as a 2WD since the suspension is essentially the same.

Mine is AWD and lowered 4/6 with no issues at all. Aligned properly and drives great with no vibrations at all.

Not sure the about the rear end set up on these. I lowered my 09 Sierra 4wd. It was 6/8. Still had the axles in and worked too

Springs, struts, and spindles. My current truck will be lowered with 6" arms. The ride quality wasn't that great. Hoping this route will be better

Oh ok thanks. Yeah the spring and strut combo probably made it too stiff.

That white Denali looks great, but seems lowered more than 3" in the rear....doesn't it?

Could be the extra weight of the xl I put the springs plus the spacer that comes in the kit which makes it 3 inches
