Just got a '23 Z71 with the air ride suspension. Want to level it, at a minimum, and maybe go up as much as 2". A few questions:

What's the best lift options? I've used the air ride height rod lifters on my Land Rover but wanted to see if anyone has used these on their Tahoe and what the impact on ride quality was (https://www.suspensionsuperstore.com/2021-2023-chevy-tahoe-w-active-ride-air-ride-0-2-5-lift-kit/)

What's the largest tire you can get if you just level? Sounds like it might be around 33.5" on the OE rims? Does adding a spacer help at all with clearance/size options?
To lift with just the bags, EdgyMods. Work great and you dial in what you want.

I run a 285/60r20. It seems like I get a little rubbing at full lock under certain situations, but there are no witness marks so it is good. I think the absolute largest without rubbing is a 285/70r18.

I spacer will swing a wider arc, and this have a chance to rub more on the fenderwells, especially at the rear of the front fenders.

Is there an option that lifts without just the bags? Is there a spacer/block equivalent for air suspension that won’t compromise the ride quality/benefits of the air suspension?

Any lift will stiffen the ride due to everything being under more stress.

I think you could use a regular spacer lift kit for magnaride and then use the Edgymods links to spoof the sensors into thinking they are at normal ride height. You would have to contact Edgymods as I think you would need a longer threaded section depending on lift.

Not sure how the magnaride would react. Should be okay, but just not sure.

Going to switch things up for the wife soon. She wants smaller wheels with bigger tires. If anyone wants these wheels let me know! 20x9 295/60/20 less than 2k on them!

Z71 standard suspension, removed all red and silver.

Sure that’s stock suspension? Looks like at least a 2” lift.

Either way, looks sweet!!

We are in Montana. 3" for us too. They fit great. I did some trimming on the "cab" side to the brackets and drilled a hole to pull the fender lining back. Used stock hardware so it made it look OEM+.

Well here it is. 2” rough country up front only with 33s and Amp steps. Honestly kinda wish I’d have put a larger tire on it and or went with a 3.5” kit. We will see how long this last. We came from a 21 Duramax Denali on 37s. So this thing feels small. View attachment 389532

What lift did you need to run 37s on a Yukon? We bought our Z71 last May and we keep talking about what we want to do with it, at this point honestly my priorities are suspension and tires after some unpleasant experiences with our Southern California desert mud these last few months. The stock Goodyear Trailrunners don't clean out for squat and the stock (non air) suspension dang near knocks your teeth out if you hit the open desert at anything over a crawl.

Im guessing it was on a truck…not a yukon.

So let me see if Im understanding this correctly....

With the adaptive air ride z71 suspension you can raise your front and back through the vehicle alone without having to buy a RC Kit? I love the look of your grey ride height and youre saying this was achieved all through the Adaptive Air Ride and adding Edgymods Adjustable Links? 3" Front and 2.5" Rear? How is the ride?

Sorry Im just wanting to make sure the technology is that fancy lol. Im buying a white z71 or grey one like your's and want the same look with the debadging/black tow hooks & skid plate/AMP steps/295/60/20.

Or is their an option to slap on a lower 1” strut spacer up front and a coil spacer out back and still use the edgy mods adjustable links so the air bags don’t have to “max” out and you retain some softness on ride?

I’m essentially wanting a 3.5-4” lift and it seems like the adaptive air ride is the hiccup with All the RC kits. You’d have to have a z71 without the air ride and just thr premiun smooth ride option.

Did you just tint those front markers or are they avail online as direct part?

Side Markers- Amazon

I ordered the base suspension on ours as the end goal is a full shock replacement with UCAs. I prefer the non electronic suspension.

so how did you achieve the 3" FR 2.5"? I guess when you said standard z71 suspension I assumed you had no aftermarket lift.

Man I bought an air ride z71 today lol.

I spoke with the owner of Edgymods and he said a 3" is safely doable with the adjustable links and 2.5 " In back. Anything above that and bag pressure may be an issue but damn I guess I'm a guinea pig now. I wanted the z71 front end so bad and almost wanted to just buy an LT and do a bumper swap to give myself more lift options.

I wonder if factory Z71 UCA will be fine. Ive seen guys doing the Edgymod on there's but no a lot of feedback. DANGIT.

Actually I’m gonna back out of deal and Lose deposit. This air bag air ride sounds like a nightmare. I didn’t sleep last night.

Just gonna buy an LT with smooth ride and throw on 6” RC and BFG 37’s. Ill
Keep y’all posted as i install.

Sorry for the clutter.

No Clutter, all good info.

i have a 23 LT with Standard smooth ride...also wanting other features of the Z71, but never use them anyway.

i am planning on a 3" lift all around ( 3/2 at least), with a 35. i just plan to black out all the chrome a nd roll with it.

So my next major “ look into “ is how well the z71 front bumper valance converts to an LT. Sure seems like it’s doable. Upper portion of bodies same. Just lower portion is different. I bet it’s easily modifiable or maybe a direct fit?

It’s hard not to go 3-3.5 and 35” on these new bodies. It’s looks so Good! I’ve had a ******* for a 6” setup for about a decade now and i think it’s time to go FULL send.

White on Tan interior. LT. 6” RC. 20x12 (-44) Black Rhino Black. Arsenal. 37” BFG K02. Chrome delete. Z71 front bumper with black skid plate and tow rings.

I’m doing it!

Everyone running rough country kits says have it powder coated as well right? Chipping and poor factory coat?!

Picture is of details stating Premium Ride Suspension a green light for all major aftermarket lift kits. Magnaride even has some options. It’s the Air Ride Suspension that is a definite no go on all kits. You have to use the Edgymods and air ride z71 bags to achieve any lift and are capped at 3” max and open to all sorts of potential issues with air ride components.

Anyone need some edgymods adjustable links? I’ll donate them to a good cause! First person with a new body z71 and proof will be mailed the Adjustable links valued at over $200+. Please just make a post covering your install and info about lifting and how it goes for reaching 2.5-3”.

they do llok good, but in person...the 3.5" with the right W/T combo looks perfect. totally useable in all reagrds, but looks much more sinister.

my 17 stood out everywhere with a 2.5" and a 33.5.

i cant wait to complete this new one, just looking at wheels now.
