I would get the rig first and do some measurements. These newer ones come pretty dang level from the factory. So forgive me for not reading everything, I read 8-10 pages, but what is consensus go to leveling kit for the z71? Picking up a ‘24 hopefully on Monday and wife says she wants this one leveled. Looked at the 2” rough country linked on the first few pages of this thread, but says it will not fit on the z71. Thanks!
Seems most kits put the z71 slightly nose high. I agree on being level from factory. Rough country is 2” front 1” rear. The 3.5” rough country also lifts the front higher. And the readylift 3”, that I have, does 3” front 2” rear.So forgive me for not reading everything, I read 8-10 pages, but what is consensus go to leveling kit for the z71? Hello I have the same one. Doesn’t it come with a factory 2” lift? I’m looking to do the same thing. Wasn’t sure if I needed the lift?Changed some things up today. Went to the 2” level from RC (new release with front and back spacers). Also went up a tire size and squeezed in 285/55r22. Slight trim required to lower portion of front fender well behind felt, in-noticeable. Good luck going any bigger on a 2 or 2.5” level.

Salesman told me it did have a 2” level in the front, haven’t climbed under it to look yet.Hello I have the same one. Doesn’t it come with a factory 2” lift? I’m looking to do the same thing. Wasn’t sure if I needed the lift?
No gm suv I’m aware of that comes with a factory 2” lift. Many confuse the Silverado trail boss and sierra at4, that do come with it, with the SUV’s. Rough country being one of them, and sounds like your salesman too.Salesman told me it did have a 2” level in the front, haven’t climbed under it to look yet.
Ok, I misspoke in name I guess, it has a factory level on the front then is what I should have said, as it sure appears to sit level directly off the dealership lot.No gm suv I’m aware of that comes with a factory 2” lift. They come level from the factory, without a lift or level.Ok, I misspoke in name I guess, it has a factory level on the front then is what I should have said, as it sure appears to sit level directly off the dealership lot.
Its all personal preference. Everyone has their own opinion. I like nice and level, or just an ever so slight touch higher in the back. Usually if they are perfectly level…they look like they are sagging ass. And that carolina squat stuff, OMG lmao. Its a complete joke imo…but, im sure the guys that do it like that look so to each their own.Alright guys. I'm gonna ask a stupid question: Why do you want the truck to be level front to back? It seems like you'd want more lift in the back for carrying loads. I, personally, always thought cars looked better with a slight rise towards the back. Some of the lifted trucks I've seen out there have a marked lift in the front that makes it look like the truck's got some dumpy drawers or something lol! It's not attractive to me at least... I've never modded a truck before so I have no idea what's considered attractive and functional; I've only done my Accord.
School me! Make me change my mind.![]()

how much lift and or level ? what kit and brand
2" front and back?2021 Suburban Duramax. I added RC 2" level kit, 285/50/22 Toyo Open Country AT III.
In my opinion this is not a mud flap bracket. Pretty sure the parts list calls it a frame extension. My thought is that it is intended to protect the cabin during impact from intrusion of the wheel or caving in. I added shims under the outer bolts to get it to angle and increase gap where the tire rubs.May have been overthinking the brackets. Poked around on Silverado forums and found the same brackets being referred to as “mud flap brackets” and seem to be commonly removed for additional clearance. Plenty of space at full lock now.View attachment 384986View attachment 384987
