I also had a small oil leak, just a drop here and there.
Almost seemed to come out of the converter/bell housing inspection area.
Me thinking i might have made a mistake with the new rear main took this as a "yeah it's fine". :jester:
Just a drop here and there is all i noticed.

I popped off the inspection cover to feel around, was not totally clear but it felt more like a possible pan gasket leak than a rear main.
Or i'm getting a little seeping through the converter bolts...

When changing my oil this last time, I had a chance to really look around with a flashlight.
And that i was recently offroad, I could see a nice clear drip path coming from the passenger side valve cover.
And at the valve cover, I could see a slight extra overhang of that valve cover gasket!
Looks like i didn't quite center it right when it was installed. :disgust:

I have never been so happy to see a leak coming from my valve cover. :headbang:

Later task, I'll tackle that when i get around to swapping out my pushrods for slightly longer 7.4in.

And i routed the wideband wire today, for now I'm probably going to run power from the cig lighter.
Maybe give it it's own ground for good measure.

For the serial adapter part of the AEM, i have this ordered.
Has the FTDI chip that i know and love, no real reason to have the actual serial port. :waytogo:
My avalanche has some sort of fluid thats a slight drip. I'm not sure if its oil or tans fluid. The wipe on the sway bar was not clear enough. I will get around to it sometime.

Now that you mention it, I didn't have a leak until we swapped the pushrods. I need to check the valve cover area too :naughty:

The light colored/silver block paint job was a good decision there.
It made it real clear for me. :)

This?

Also, I used a hydraulic crimper like what @cooki3mnster mentioned. Same thing, just yellow and from Amazon. Got the tinned marine lugs and adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing from Amazon as well.

Kinda, I was hoping to get one more like the stock setup.
But that should work if all else fails. :waytogo:

I got flattened by a little stomach flu/bug thing for a few days.
Today I'm starting to feel a little better, so i got back to work on the hoe.
As soon as i start working on the hoe, i start feeling a little sick again... lol
So taking it nice and slow today.

Wideband has been installed, and i'm now starting to tweak my config file.

Reviewing the goat rope garage config, I was actually looking for the how to adjust fueling.
But apparently it's no longer in my saved.

So i started re-reviewing the setup episode, lots of good info and i was able to apply a slight change to the config file i have for the wideband.

Good stuff right there, now the real trick will be is if it actually works. :jester:

And I got hp tuners to actually connect to the wideband gauge.

looks like that usb serial that i purchased never did connect.
I finally pulled the serial adapter out of my vette and used that instead.
Made little connectors to connect directly to the pins, per the AEM manual.
it worked flawlessly.

Later I'll try and figure out wth is up with the one i just bought.

Did a good data logging session with the wideband running.
All looked really good, i didn't see too much dipping and i never saw it go very lean.

Using this as a general guide, later i'll do another run.

Driving around a little the other day the fueling looked pretty good.
I need to do another round of data logging, however I'm getting close to wanting to play with timing tables.

Or maybe i should hold off until i get a good 1 - 2,000 miles on the new engine.

I really liked that short spin with the 6.2 escalade timing tables...
I needz it, moar powar!

Good vid on vve tuning for the gen4
Talks a about how to use the graph to "learn" fueling.

Iirc, there is one a little simpler on the gen 3
