GMC Stock 20s! LOOK need help!!

Some of the bad spots. You see the groves from the Grinder wheel. Hopefully these will come out

By hand wont do it even with 80 grit down to super fine. The grooves are still there. Think a DA sander would do it? Dont wanna waste more money.

Lol 80grit is rough as hell. I start with a rough one and work your way to a really fine grit to get scratches out.

Get to sanding, it will suck but worth it in the end. Sand all those heavy marks out then work up to wetsand. Finally polish them out then get clear powder coat for no maintenance. I would find a shop to do it as I wouldn't have that much patience to do it all.

Any good clear i can spray? Something that will stick to a freshly polished material? Im not close to a shop that does powder coating and i hate to pay the extra on that plus taking tires on and off

I bought ltz rims that were worse bought them for 50 with tires stripped what was left of the clear coat and then i was sanding fora week lol but now they look better than brand new knowing that they wont peel like before, if your doing it by hand you will have johncena arms when your done looool

I would get them sand blasted and powder coated... They have silver and chrome shinny finishes.. Should cost about $300-400 for all four. I'm gettin some 20s powder coated black right now. I'll post pics in like a week when I get them back

I had a set of those powder coated a couple of years back in a hyper silver and they looked awesome. I think I paid about $300 to have them blasted and coated. They went through two Wisconsin winters and still looked like new when I sold them last fall. I know it costs more than doing it yourself but mine turned out looking OEM and the refinisher said they should stay that way.

Sorry I don't. I sold them last fall and purchased a used set of OEM 2014 GMC Sierra Z71 wheels for the winter and CK160's for the summer. Come on warm weather.

Ive decided to sand them back down and paint them until i powder coat them this summer. I got almost done with one but its just not working out. Still looking for a silver oem looking paint can.
