Well sort of. I made an offer and it was accepted. It should be in my driveway midweek after the credit union has funded my loan etc etc. After looking into all of the 07+ model Tahoe's I came across a great deal on a 2001 Tahoe with around 80k miles in Victory Red. I am looking forward to picking it up so the modding can begin! Here's a few pics from the listing to get me going.

Well I am planning to start with the exterior as it already has wheels and a system. While neither are necessarily what I would choose they are both good enough to the point where I can focus on other things and switch them out later. So first will probably be a 2500hd hood, Street Scene grill shell w/out bowtie, Street Scene generation 6 front bumper, smooth rear vents, and led tails. I'm still trying to shop them all to get the best price I can to hopefully allow for more mods. Fortunately I parted my last car out before I sold it so I should be able to get most of that list done to it. At some point I want to get a roll pan but don't want to lose the safety of a bumper so I will likely have my shop reinforce the area underneath so I can have the protection with the styling. I'm still looking around online for other things to do but that will definitely keep me busy for a little while.

Drop is definitely among my considerations but I have to look at it more when I get the chance. My wife and I like to go camping quite a bit and the Hoe would be what takes me there. I'm sure I will be dropping it some but how much I don't know as of yet.

Hmmm..
Trust me and do these things first

1)CAI-Huge performance gain, better MPG (win/win) $75ish eBay
2)HID (low-beams {9006 4500K})- Headlights from DDMtuning.com $50ish shipped
3)Back up camera from eBay (if your lucky haha) $30 shipped

Total = Under $160 shipped for it all and you will be very happy :)

Hmm.. thanks for the suggestions Anthony. Might have to do that. I hadn't realized that the CAI was that inexpensive for this vehicle. I like that idea the most. I'll look into them. Thanks.

THe AEM Brute Force knockoffs on ebay are very inexpensive. They get the job done, but if you have the coin, opt for the real deal. Fitment and quality are much better, and AEM's dry filter kicks serious ass....light years better than the oiled K&Ns.

If you do go the e-bay route, be sure to order an AEM filter for it...the ones that come with the knockoffs are kinda iffy. Or, if you want to buy the AEM kit, PM Max on here for a good deal.

Haha I couldn't post the good news without at least some teaser pics. Granted they aren't as good as they would be if I had it here already but I had to at least give you something. Thanks again for the info Anthony. I will go the real deal for sure. I'm sure the knockoff is better than nothing but I always have preferred the real thing.

Way to be, man. Supporting AEM by buying their products is the only way the company thrives. They put alot of time, effort and money into their R&D testing.

Like I said, PM Max and he'll hook you up.
