Buy some mirrors on eBay that have em and sell yours back on eBay! It's that easy lol.

I posted this in my thread but wanted to show people who look at this thread the G5 Tails with SMD-LED Reverse lights.

What were you expecting? >kidding!< Haha

Seriously though... I'd be surprised if your lights were "back in sync" with any kind of permanence. What I mean is, I don't think they "reset" until the next time that you apply the brakes -- I just think that each time the brakes are pressed when the blinker is already on, it'll start the sequence over starting with the blinker light coming on.

So, if your blinker is something like this:

On....On....On...On...

Then applying the brake might do this:

On...On/On...On...On...

I don't think it STAYS in that pattern... I think that when the brake is stabbed, the light flashes, no matter where in the pattern the flasher was, and then flashes in time from there.

I don't think there's any correcting it. And if you're so OCD that you TRY to keep it in sync by timing your braking, well, you should see someone about that. LOL

Again, I don't know that the oem ones don't respond the same exact way. They may. They may not. BUT, I'm pretty sure they blink WITH the mirror's signal, and not opposite. (Could be wrong about that one, too.)

Remember, there are three possible scenarios:

1. The tail, mirror, and in-dash flasher all blink together.
2. The tail and flasher blink together while the mirror is opposite.
3. The tail and mirror blink together while the flasher is opposite.

To be sure what's going on, I'd back up toward a wall at night and see what's going on once and for all.

We may have a well thought out product here. Under no circumstances have I been able to get these "out of sync". They were flashing opposite of my mirror when only one side was plugged in. I did that on the first one to be sure I had the polarity correct on my reverse LED bulb. Since both lights have been installed, at no time have they been out of sync with the mirrors if it matters to anyone. They look and function exactly like Escalade tails do when they're installed on an Escalade. No hot resistors, no out of sync flashing. The only downside so far is the fairly loud flasher box. Just a FYI.

My truck is pretty dark colored (Bermuda Blue), think I could get away without the Esky appliques for a while?

Yea I think you could... I'm currently 'getting away' with it right now lol.. it's not that bad... but I still want the appliques. I finally got the Yukon applique that goes above my license plate to change out the bubbly Tahoe one so that's what i'm currently working on right now...

Same here. Mine's black and I'm holding off on that until I finalize the suspension mods. I'll get them eventually, but you only really notice it if you're up close and know what to look for.

Sorry to be off topic felix but when you put the yukon applique on will you take some pics and let us know how hard it is to do. I really want to switch mine but have heard its a PITA and you sometimes have to break the old bolts to get it off. BTW the lights looks amazing that will be one of my next mods after the lockpick

Beware that the G4's brake lights are not nearly as visible as the G5's because all three rows are running lights. I thought about them too, but that is why I decided against them. I hate when I am behind someone with aftermarket LED tails and you can't tell if they are braking or not. Take a look at the Yukon LED tails on ebay, they look pretty descent.

I never really noticed that... Both look good but the way the LED lights are curved and the overall shape of the tail is what drew me to the new tails... I loved the G4's and liked how they had a whole row lit up on the side. On the G5 LED tails it is only 4 LED's at the bottom/side of the tail which looks good and is identical to the esky tails but I really liked how the G4's had the whole row lit up.

I don't agree with this at all. The G4s have two levels of brightness: bright, and REALLY bright. There's absolutely no problem discerning the difference between the running brightness and brake brightness, day or night.

True, there are LED tails out there that don't show much difference between the running lights and braking lights brightness, but I don't agree that the G3s or G4s are in this category.

Ok, I must have been mistaken. I had another member that told me that, can't remember who it was though. My bad for the wrong info.

Anyone getting the black (smoked) G5s? Would love to see what they look like on a black yukon.

Tom, look at BlackedOutLT3 -- his ride has oem esky tails (G5 tails are basically a replica of the oem esky tails). He has a black tahoe with the tails tinted/blacked out. Looks good.
