Edit: I do have the 04 Project Suburban 2500 at my brother's house. I can ask him to check what that one does, if you want?
Thanks for that, but no need..
Because everything I have read says there was a DIC option in the earlier trucks, but around '05 they took the option away. (bastards!)
My door locks work, but the locking/unlocking/having to put into park to unlock for passengers is annoying to me.
Autosync took care of this in the GMT900, but unfortunately they don't have anything for GMT800..
I emailed ewalt's tuning to see if they can program the older BCM to work in my truck..
(need VIN changed and hope the other modules communicate the same? idk)
Another thought I had was to disconnect the door modules from the BCM.. From what I can tell in the wiring diagrams, the remote door lock receiver is in the passenger door module, and IF they could work independently from the BCM, the BCM doesn't need to know if my doors are open or closed or locked etc. Looks like one gmlan wire (class 2 serial data) from both front door modules connect to BCM.. However for the driver switch to control the passenger locks/windows, and for the remote to unlock all doors, the two door modules must still communicate with each other I'm guessing.. And most likely a host of other issues, but I'm clinging on to hope..
In the end, if I can get rid of the ridiculous bonging sound from key-in/door-open and seatbelt, I could live with the door locks..
