That looks like a 1988 GM truck and newer that spent it's life in Missouri. I saw lots of those rigs in my shops over the years. Ahhhhhh, good times! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need some of those generic bolt on rubber fender flares. I've actually seen a few good/nice ones.
Nothing a little bondo wouldn't take care of.

Chicken wire over affected area, cover with newspapers, then bondo.
Fill hole with dirt clods. Don’t use rocks or they won’t was away during rain. Dirt can also be sprayed with water and pre-moulded to use less bondo.
Viola! Ready for prime and paint. List truck for sale ASAP if rain in forecast.

Well, he wanted a POS truck as his first truck so that’s what he got. Perfect truck to learn things on.
