so whats the right way to do this?

the right way of doing this is to get you some 800 grit sand paper and sand it till you see the copper under the chrome then get you some self etching primer
and apply a few coats then you can wet sand to make it smooth and then you can paint it

i have been wanting to do this to my tahoe for a while....and this just gave me motivations to do so...on that note...calling body shop now!

i have been wanting to do this to my tahoe for a while....and this just gave me motivations to do so...on that note...calling body shop now!

I attempted this again BUT this time I sanded down the entire grille assembly with fine sandpaper to give the paint something to 'bite' onto. It seemed to adhere alot better. I am NOT a body man by any means...when my mod funds replenish, I will prolly just take it to a body shop and bite the bullet....
