Someone just shared this within the past 2 weeks I think. I cannot find the post for the life of me but they said they were happy with it. I like it because it kind of retains the OEM look

I have a cheapy Amazon one right now that has everything you’re looking for but the volume knob is acting up and the CarPlay disconnects every so often for no reason. Looking to replace mine soon

That may be an option. Would not mind going full touch screen though.

Bummer.... another option that won't work with the factory BOSE w/NAV system. We really got the short end of the stick with fancy junk.

I noticed that but I wonder if it’s just because these come with a plug and play harness. Maybe some tinkering of the head units harness will make it compatible.

I noticed the express van cuts off at 2011. So I’m not sure why because majority of the electronics from my 08, fit in my 2012. Including the aftermarket radio and harness.

I ripped out the entire Bose system and replaced everything with aftermarket components and added a subwoofer. But, my HU cost a lot more than $500, so I cannot assist you in your decision.

Yeah. I just don't have that kinda money lying around.
I got maybe 1k for it all. So challenging for sure.

You will be surprised at how much better the Bose system will sound by just changing the HU. Afterwards you will realize there actually is a sub under the console... lol

I guess my plan now is to get a decent HU and new front door speakers that works with tho Bose amp.
I never really crank it up to high so wondering if 3 ohm speakers would work good enough for now and later replace the amp.
Or keep tho Bose amp and just buy speakers that match the amp.

I have been watching some vids on how to hook up a sub. All the vids use a LOC convertor.
I bought the wrong style, i think. It has L/R input and L/R out, but i only have one speaker.
Can i use the high level output from the back of the stock radio to the high level input on the sub amp?

Got the sub and amp installed today and it works perfect! What a difference it made. Very happy with it and if anyone is thinking about it, just add it. You will not regret it!!

Ordered THIS ATOTO stereo today off their eBay store. Much cheaper! Also, THIS interface.
Never had a 10in screen stereo and from the few pics i have seen with our GMT 900's i like it.
I have had 4 ATOTO S8 stereos and have liked them all. Problem is i keep selling the vehicles i put them in :banghead:
Not this time. I'm keeping this one, I mean it this time!
I do not care about ON Star and i don't care about rear entertainment either. I want to retain SWC, Chimes, Backup camera and factory amp and the Crux interface is advertised to do that.
I have also ordered THIS set of speakers for the front doors. I ordered them because almost anything has to be better than stock 18yo speakers and they are cheap enough with ok reviews.
I have read that with some help, Speakers and HU, the Bose amp is actually pretty decent you just need to pay attention to ohm's and match that or it will sound like ****. Im going to find out i guess.
I can't wait to play with the EQ and DSP on the new radio!
Im out of stereo funds now for a while so upgrading the other speakers will be on hold till i make some other fun funds.

Well dang! Radio came in yesterday. Of course there was shipping damage and needs replaced so that's gonna take a week or two im sure.
The replacement clock spring for the heated steering wheel came in. They sent the exact same wrong one. So i got a refund and ordered from a different seller that provided a picture of the plugs to confirm it's the proper one.
New door speakers are also here. At least i can get them installed today.

That's certainly a disappointing day of deliveries.
