GoodInBlack's 2009 Suburban Build.

Just assumed they were the same price. Now I can't justify it at all

Jacob or anyone who has g4's: where'd you stick on the resistor on for yours?

The best setup I saw was on Robbie's burb. He mounted his up and underneath on the frame but out of the way of road grime. Those things get hot so that's a good cool place. Before I saw that I'd mounted mine to the back of my light with 3M tape. Not the best place for it IMO but I have not had any issues up to this point and I've had the tails for a year and a half or longer

I also mounted mine on the back of the light before I saw the instructions to mount inside the appliqué on the frame. Glad up hear you haven't had any issues with the same placement.

So far so good :waytogo: I'd think with the length of time I've been running them that if an issue were to occur it would have already but who know :)

I like amazon and summit racing too. My only issue with amazon is at times shipping takes longer than I'd like but it's almost always within the timeframe they tell you when you order so at least you know ahead of time :)

Amazon Prime FTW. 2day ship on all orders. Find someone you know who will let you be on their membership. They have 3 slots. We piggybacked on my inlaws account :)

The thing that got me about return at CarID was the....

I pay for Shipping on a defect?
Being asked to take a picture of a Hyperflashing light. ???
Waiting a long time to get a RTM Label from EE.
They wanted to send me resistors even AFTER I knew the unit was bad.

CarID did match their price to a competitor, so they are good on that.

Hopefully I will get my return credit immediately As Promised.

On a side note.... they got a representative from EE on the phone. Said they have redesigned resistors in lieu of the grey boxes.

So why not SELL them that way to begin with, no that it would have made a difference in my case anyway.

Idiots. Definitely can be the rep you get. Like when I call Comcast every six months to negotiate my bill down. Sometimes I hang up and call back until I get what I want :)

They were very helpful. I must admit. Very Helpful.

Just like pulling teeth helpful though. Not smooth.

@ David.....Where, I can't find them......

Only reason I am considering these is because I do not want to change my appliques.

These are supposedly better quality that the G4s because they are made by Depo.

I just don't want to buy something that looks ****.

So please everyone provide input.

Thank you.

These are actually 2 different version made by 2 different people.

The top ones are CG/ANZO/EE.

The Lower ones are Depo.

The Lower ones use the metal body resistor.

The EE ones use the normal grey box resistor.

Look closely and one can see the backside (Gold).

The EE version also has a factory appearance, and thus has the character lines.

The Depo version has a smooth appearance in the middle.
