I wanted to share my latest DIY creation with everyone! I got tired of seeing the 03-06 clusters getting the special treatment in my search to mod my '02 cluster. So, I decided to figure it out and custom mod it by myself! I bought an '02 Escalade cluster to do this: I custom engineered LEDs under the needles and used RGBW strips for backlighting. I used oem overlay but removed blue paint from backside and covered the km/h speed scale. Let me know what you think!509312B6-729B-4894-8340-80765F65FC81.jpegCB9A8D6A-7F9D-408C-93B6-C08F99A435D2.jpeg74A3CFF5-B115-4986-8D94-9E028948EAF6.jpegE52ED783-6574-491B-97CD-0BA420BC96F3.jpeg

I've been able to get them fairly spot on or at least pretty close so far, but yes I use an OBDLink MX+ wireless adapter paired with my head unit (10.1" floating screen with Android 11 o.s) so I can have a customized digital cluster. So I match my needles to those. Most importantly the speedo, but I can check em all except the Fuel gauge. That one I just get close or if I'm not sure then I'll just wait for the Low Fuel light and set it just above E. I don't think I ever would have attempted any cluster mods if I didn't have the OBDLink

I see. So you are essentially using PCM data that ultimately comes from the input sensors themselves. IE: Speed sensor, ECT, Pickoff from alternator, OPS and tach pickoff. Pretty slick.

Indeed sir. I can see all kinds of data with it and then make it into a fully custom gauge. I got another screen with all digital gauges that show all four O2 sensor voltages with the short term and long term fuel trims. Pretty cool even tho I'm still learning how to read/use those. Anyway, it was well worth the $
