I need to cut the bumpstops more in the rear i just cant because right now it hits the aftermarket exhaust so the shop will need to rebend that portion.

The rear kit is the same ie springs with the 1 inch spacer and drop struts

for the front went with spindles since its a new truck new struts arent needed

So I have a question since I too have a Z71.

Will installing the rear shocks help the truck sit a tad lower? I ask because my Z71 still sits around 34 3/4 on the rear left. The rear shocks are the Bilstein HD (red in color) and aren't the same as every other non Z71 Tahoe.

If you think this will help I will order some this week. Oh and also about how much space should be between the truck and the bumpstop with the rear kit in?

Thanks Tony,

Randall

Tony,
This is the kit I just bought from you yesterday. What do I need to tell my installer to do to get my Tahoe to sit like that one? It looks really nice! I will be running the same tires. Is it going to rub anywhere?

For anyone in the Dallas, TX area. Can you recommend an installer for me? Thx!

In front was fine in rear rubbed the plastic fenderwells so I drove it for abotu 5 miles and did turns and saw where it rubbed and cut the liner away. No biggie at all.

Looks great and its definitely on the "soon" part of my "to-do" list. How does the kit affect towing capacity? For the immediate future I can't see the need to tow more than #3000 lbs... Do I need to bag it to keep it able?

You can add helper bags for 80 dollars inside the coil springs and will be good to go.

Not to hickjack, but I'm having the BT 2-3/4 drop and sway bars you sold me installed on Friday and the 22"s and 285/45/22's on Saturday. Do I need to have my installer cut the bump stops out for the free travel mod? I ocassionaly tow a 4000-4500 lb boat. Or should I just have him trim them down a bit? It's a 08 LTZ with auto ride.

But the ride will be a lot stiffer...

The trick will be getting the autoride links to a length where they ONLY air up the rear when you're towing your trailer.

that is easy with no spacers in and autoride links set to 2.5 inches I have a few guys that tow and works fine.

2.5 inches including the end pieces, in between the end pieces or from center to center of the holes in the end pieces?

You guys are worrying me with this spacers in and out talk. :pshyco: I will never tow anything with my Tahoe. NorCalSS and KMelony I know I have been emailing you both about this kit in question. Thanks for your advice to. But just to be clear...when I get my kit installed I am going to tell the installer to put the rear spacer in and set the links at 3" from center/center so i can sit slightly higher in back. I'm assuming the front end portion of this kit is only done 1 way so there is nothing to tinker with? I'd like to drop it as much as the kit will allow and have the rear slightly higher and the autoride not air back up. Sorry if these questions sound dumb on my end. I haven't received the kit yet so maybe once I get it and read the destructions :D it will make sense.
